According to the paper Smart Cities, there is no single specific definition of smart city. The term smart city is defined differently by different people. According to some, smart cities are those cities with “smart (intelligent) physical, social, institutional and economic infrastructure while ensuring centrality of citizens in a sustainable environment whereas Accenture defines smart city as a “city that delivers services to citizen and businesses in an integrated and resource efficient way and enables innovative collaborations to improve inhabitants’ quality of life and support the growth of the local and national economy”.
People have started to migrate in urban cities and due to unplanned urbanization this has led many problems, for example, there is shortage of housing and infrastructure, growth of slums etc. Due to this, there is a need to strategically plan, design, manage and govern the urban cities. This can be done with the help of ICT (Information and communication technologies) based concepts such as internet of things, big data, sensor

The key focus will be on the areas: infrastructure, energy, transport, utilities, environment sustainability and communication. But, contribution by individuals, private building owners and businesses can also make private and public buildings smarter. The purpose of the paper named Smart Buildings Make Smart Cities is by making the buildings smarter, the city could be made smarter. With the advancement in the technology, buildings play a vital role in redefining the static environment into a more dynamic and interactive space that impacts lifestyles, wellbeing and productivity of the occupants because people spend most of their time in the buildings whether it is homes, offices, recreation, retail, transport or public service facilities. “According to a study under the United Nations Environment
Support service must be provided through the developer or supplier of the technological product. Alternatively, monitoring and other support services for the new technology can be outsourced to a tech center that services the system. This might include support for technology infrastructure, hardware, software applications and communications. All staff should then be trained in operating the new system and customer must be made aware of the new service being offered to them before the implementation stage. Finally risk management assessments should be performed and contingency plans developed to respond to worst case scenarios as Dream Destination must be realistic about the disadvantages of implementation of new technologies and resistance to change by

We can describe IoT as connect things like smartphones, personal computer and any other electronic devices and connected together as a new way in communicating between things and people and between things themselves [1]. IoT rapidly growing from industrial machine to consumer goods for sharing information and completing tasks [2]. According to [1], the number of devices connected to the Internet is expected to be increased from 100.4 million in 2011 to 2.1 billion by the year 2021 growing at a rate of 36% a year. Figure 1 shows that statistics from Cisco. Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology company that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment.
Additionally, operations are often conducted away from the office, or in austere environments utilizing mobile broadband and laptop computer. Having access to the organizations data in an organized efficient manner is essential. Finally, a centralized knowledge management system allows organizations to share and collaborate much
Urbanization, or the growth of cities, erupted during the Industrial Revolution. Cities were a place of work, innovation, and technology. Over the course of fifty years (1850-1900) more and more people moved to the cities, which caused more and more problems in them. With these problems came solutions, and those solutions led to change. These changes could be good like movements to get cleaner water or having plumbing.
The entire earth boast 21 cities with populations over 10 million. Within these cities many important decisions are made daily. These actions include billion dollar transactions, life changing inventions, and thousands of various goods are traded. The prosperity of an area is judged on the amount of inhabitants within the area, along with the wealthiness of the city. However if a city fails to have a strong central government, enough money to fulfill the city 's needs, and enough inhabitants, then a city will experience a downfall.
Big Data refers to the massive amounts of structured and unstructured data that is collected over time from various internal as well as external sources. Enterprises are facing challenges in integrating these new and different types of data and also turning this data into meaningful information. The data is growing at a tremendous rate due to increase in connectedness of machines and people. Analyzing this data to extract sensible and meaningful insights is a big challenging task; integrating and optimizing this data, storing, organizing and analyzing is a challenge. The Big Data must be captured, stored, organized and analyzed to influence the decision making in any enterprise or business

It is believed that investment of energy efficient buildings provides rapid and much cheaper results rather than increasing alternative energy supply (UN, 2009). In addition to this, upgrading energy efficient construction is one of the crucial opportunity to elevate development in economy, environmental stewardship, social and life quality, lastly human rights (UN, 2009). As United Nations (2009) mentioned, more appropriate energy efficient use diminishes the enforcement of energy use on climate change and usage of modern energy-saving technologies is the one of the effective ways to enlarge energy efficiency. Furthermore, improving the energy efficiency of buildings makes more adaptable regardless of any changes in weather condition and such buildings likely to emit less carbon dioxide emissions that polluted air tends to affect inflammatory as well as respiratory systems that can lead to worsening of heart and lung diseases such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema even the lung cancer which is recently more serious disease (DERA, 2011). Improvement in energy efficiency in construction makes energy more available which can be probably used alternatively; also, reduces the political instability risks which tend to arise because of energy price inflation for householders or energy shortages (UN, 2009).
INTRODUCTION A smart grid is a power network which is based on digital technology is used to supply power, via two-way digital communications. A smart grid system allows for monitoring, analysis, control and communication within the supply chain and helps improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and cost, and maximize the transparency and reliability of the energy supply chain. The smart grid was introduced with the aim of overcoming the weaknesses of conventional electrical grids by using smart meters.
Technology is growing at a fast pace and every day we see a new product or service that is available. Many times it is hard to even keep up with the latest phone, computer, game console, or software. There are so many different gadgets to choose from and even the internet is on information overload. As a result, we can no longer truly expect to have privacy.
Eco friendly building material is those provide the appropriate service and lifetime, with the minimal maintenance, while minimizing the decimation the raw of material, the pollution from, and also energy consumption by production and use, and that have the maximum potential for the reuse. The use of the Eco friendly building materials and products are represents one important strategy in the design of a building. In addition, the Eco friendly building materials have benefits to the building users such as improved health and the productivity, in order to change the spatial configurations of the lower costs associated, reduced maintenance costs over the life of the building and so forth.
= The future of Smart Home Technology A smart home is where two physical devices interconnected to each other by remote controllers. A smart home technology called as Home automation, which provides security, comfort and energy efficiency by allowing a smartphone. The smart home hub is a device which acts as central part of the smart home and is able to sense data with wireless communication.
