Snorpians: A Short Story

Raphael knew the home world of the snorpians did not connect directly to this universe, he'd been to all the universes that bordered Morpheus through Elmer's portal and had set up his own portals on the other side, in none of them had he found a trace of the snorpians, at first. After an extensive interview with Gwladys, he concluded that there were snorpians on Earth and it was logical to assume that they had come to Morpheus via the home world of the humans. He dug deeper, looked in the history of Angaros Smith, who had vanished from sight shortly after reporting the rape of his sister. She'd contacted his superior officer several times, but he was cold and distant when she tried to find out where her husband was. On the outside of the envelop, scrawled in her husband's handwriting it said, Go to the bathroom and read me.
As she read the note her heart was beating so hard, she feared it would pound its way out of her chest. Peggy read the note three times over, then she tore it and the envelop into little pieces and flushed it down the toilet. She splashed some water on her face and used the cup of her hand to wet her legs and her panties. She walked out of the door of the grocery store supporting her belly with her hands and moaning. Instead of going to her own car, she went to the car of the two men who had followed her. The driver rolled down his window as she approached. She leaned on the door and moaned as if in pain.
