Both the government and individuals are responsible for the construct of family life. Both institutions work together towards a stable society. The family unit is an institution within society that provides a natural system for its members to develop mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually from childhood to adulthood. It is a basic fundamental institution in society. It is in this institution, family values stand above class, race, religion, politics and ideology. They spring from the foundation of love which is God-given, not only among persons but also in the total world of living things
Each head of a home is responsible for their family to function within society. However the family does not exist on its own. The family institution exists within a society that is governed by a government that was elected by its members.
