Since the independence, the politics in Sierra Leone became corrupt, and marked by political assassination, and mismanagement. This highlights the still present class system in Russia. Even though serfs had been freed they were still being treated as the lowest class, but in turn they were still free to vote and do everything any other free Russian citizen could do, in theory. Things were still unequal and life was hard for the serfs. Serfs who had recently been freed had no means for income and struggled to provide for their families. This arrangement worked in favor for the Russian government because the freed unemployed serfs would join the army and help Russia fight.
Mining is this state’s biggest form of income as it gives such a great natural resource. They also mine diamonds but those are more of a rare find and those who find them must transport them straight to the capitol building. Although this is a booming business, it is the only primary product that they sell throughout the entire state meaning that those who are in the mining business tend to be those who are better off in life and those who aren’t in the mining business and instead in the herding business struggle more in the life than they wish to be. Because of this there is much poverty that sweeps through this state. It doesn’t help that they have constant landslides that destroy homes and property; property that most people can’t afford to rebuild on.
Throughout the ages, many nations have been known to do whatever it takes to sustain a valuable supply of resources. For this reason, however the exploitation of resources by countries using unfair means is an enduring issue for many groups of people. Exploitation of resources is when the government or outside forces take advantage of a nation’s resources. This issue is significant because it causes civil conflict and war, can impact people of nations terribly, and can destroy industry. Problems created by exploitation of resources can be seen in examples from Sierra Leone, the Congo and British India.
In 1917, Tsar Nicholas ll is the current ruler of Russia. Russia’s economic growth is increased by the Czar’s reforms of the production of factories. The Agricultural Revolution initiated the beginnings of a more advanced Britain, which would eventually spread to other parts of the world, albeit rather slowly. It increased labor and land productivity, as well as, creating an abundance of food to provide for Britain’s growing population and the future workers of the Industrial Revolution. A significant change in farming methods was the introduction of crop rotation, which was farming on four plots of land and varying the type of plant growing in each plot each season so that there would be enough resources in the soil for another certain type of plant to thrive. This increased produce production and ensured healthy crops. Aside from efficiently growing crops, the Agricultural Revolution improved
The rebel forces use revenue generated from the diamonds to finance their activities. In their extraction, a lot of human rights violations are carried out including slavery, forced labor and cases of rape. The Kimberly Process has a total of 71 participating countries. It requires certification for every rough diamond, and members of the Kimberly process are not allowed to buy diamonds from non participating states.
In Lorca’sconflict themed play;Blood Wedding , symbolism is a dominating literature technique that forebodes the significant events that occur. The protagonist of the play, Leonardo, is seen to have a rebellious attitude towards society. The horse is perceived to be a symbol of occurrences that foreshadows his destiny, which is his death caused by his desire to attain individuality in the repressive society he lives in. This is especially prominent in the morbid lullaby sang by his mother and wife to his son, as the dark imagery of the horse and the river epitomizes Leonardo’s fate.
