Social media has slowly been working its way into peoples every day life over the past twenty years. Most individuals cannot go a day without checking their Facebook or letting their Twitter followers know what kind of coffee they got that morning. Social media can be either a blessing or a curse to the human race depending on how you look at it. Not only can social media help you connect with new people and become more aware of worldwide issues; on the contrary, it encourages the spread hate and fake news. The debate over social media has been going since the evil dawn of social media. The answer will never be black and white, and the debate will continue on until the end of time. Oddly enough however, most of the debate happens on well, social media sites. People flock to it because of the convenient use of communication and user-friendly environment, it makes it easy for everyone to understand. Whether people like it or not, it is hard to find someone who does not have at least one form of social media. ProCon.org has a whole section dedicated to the pros of social media, and as always, the cons that go along with it. One of the strongest arguments for social media having a positive impact on peoples everyday lives is that it spreads news quickly. This is great! People can be aware of events as they are happening.
