There are some social problems at schools will affect students negatively such as:
1-misunderstanding that 's me occur between the student and a teacher or the school principal. For example, when I was in Secondary school I had problem with my teacher because she did not want to understand me I told her I feel cold could you please put the air condition on low degree she said no My friend told her that i 'm sick I can 't stay and then I got pain in my back and stomach I couldn 't stay at the class I went out so, after that I felt angry and I did not want to listen to her or focus on her class. Therefore, this effected my grade and my academic success.
2- Discrimination among students. Most students have this problem because some teacher show this different. For example, When some teacher compare between students or when they treat some students better than other and

Moreover, this state can change the personality for youth students in two different ways. For example, if youth student have hard time to understand math this will make him think he is not a good student and he cannot do well in math all his life. Therefore, student will lose his confident and he will not pay attention to learn math because he has a negative impact on himself. However, teacher could understand students and try to find the key to make them participate in class and involve them. Moreover, when students face difficulties in some subjects matter teacher should be aware of that and help them to understand more to encourage them to do well. As a result, youth students are affected by parents, teachers, and friends. It is hard to say they are good or bad because some of them do not have experience and knowledge about what they should do in some situation. Apparently, I like to be around youth because they will listen to you if you have a deep connection with them and they will be more flexible to creat a new strong
In addition family and or relationship issues are another reason students may be
For my second experiential learning assignment, I decided to break a social norm while going out to eat with my family at a restaurant: granted this is something I have a habit of doing but the reaction I got from my dining mates was particularly interesting this time. To give a little bit of background of the setting I was in at the time, I was with my mother, younger brother, and my mother’s friend at a restaurant in DC for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was crowded, but not many people were paying attention to what we were doing. The behavior I decided to break was dipping my fingers in the container caramel was in and then proceeded lick my fingers after doing so. I choose to break this social norm because one, the caramel sauce was really good, and two I was testing to see if my mother would say anything: normally on my birthday she lets me get away with
1. What are the primary issues in this scenario and what information is Principal Miller likely to need in order to demonstrate appreciation for and sensitivity to the diversity in the school community? The primary issues are the quality of instruction received by all students and Principal Miller’s lack of knowledge regarding the political, social, economic, and cultural context of the community. To gain a better understanding of the issues, Mr. Miller will need to collect and review data.
For our group and our shared love of food we figured that a social norm that had something to do with that would be perfect for us. We decided that the norm to drive through a drive thru needed to be tested. Why should cars be the only ones with the fast access to fast food at their convenience? We believed that people should be able to walk through the drive thrus if it is more convenient for them.
“Racism distorts our sense of danger and safety. We are taught to live in fear of people of color. We are exploited economically by the upper class and unable to fight or even see this exploitation because we are taught to scapegoat people of color (Kivel, P).” This quote from the article, The Cost of Racism to White People, barely digs at one of the reasons why racism still occurs in today’s world. There are many motives out there for why racism still occurs.
Racism: Why It Should Be Taught To Children Racism has, and always has had, a great effect on American society. Still to this day, even after the civil war over slavery in the 19th century and the anti-segregation movements of the 20th century, countless peoples still face ridicule over the color of their skin or the shape of their face. If it were to be taught in schools that judging someone based on their appearance is bad, then perhaps there wouldn’t be such an integration of racism in modern American society. Not simply learning ‘don’t be a racist’ in a high school social studies course while half asleep or thinking of what’s for lunch, but the concept of just how much it can affect someone’s life in such a negative way should be taught to children throughout their whole school careers. Without outwardly influence, children are proven to be unbiased.
Why the school system is bad - Arshia Education is very important for everyone and it will only get more important. Schooling is just plain bad. It used to serve a purpose, like the heart in a person 's body, but now it is basically just boring students more and more. Nowadays at the end of the day, we all just want to go home.
Peer pressure is quite the controversial matter today. It is the feeling that someone your own age is pushing you toward making a certain choices, good or bad.(The Cool Spot). The level of peer influence generally increases as children grow and it has become an important influence on behavior during adolescence. Many researches and surveys have been done to find the answer to the question whether peer pressure is beneficial or harmful for teenagers. While Karcher &Finn (2005) claimed that peer pressure is the biggest factor result in bad behavious of adolescents; Bukowski (1998) and Salvy (2011) argued that pressure from peers can bring amazing benefits for them.
C. Analysis In this chapter, I will make critical analysis on the results of the classroom observation with my opinion. 1. Teacher’s Classroom Management a. Managing students to pay attention to the lesson According to Warfield (2016) mentioned that classroom surrounding very affects to student performance.
Several studies have been done to identify problems that affects student’s academic performance. The students’ academic performance depends on a number of socio-economic factors like students’ presence of trained teacher in school, teacher-student ratio, attendance in the class, sex of the student, family income, mother’s and father’s education, , and distance of schools (Amitava Raychaudhuri,
Social Problems in Societies Social problems are issues which are considered to affect majority if not all members of a society either directly or indirectly. Whenever people come to live together in a social setting, conflict arises from their differences in opinions regarding political issues, religion, ethnic issues, cultural practices and other health and hygiene issues. In such a situation, we can say a society inevitably develops social problems. The various social issues present today vary from society to society, and as such, we cannot say that all societies face similar social issues.
If I could say one thing to the youth, it would be this: Never Give Up. Keep trying and pushing and struggling, even if you don’t know what your goal is or why you would want to achieve it. Make a point to succeed when a person says you are not capable of doing so because when you succeed you are proving not only to them that you can but to yourself. Respect the person who is doubting you because that will let them know that you are not effected by what they are saying. People will recognize you as someone who won’t give up, and they will get out of your way.
Bullying is defined as repeated oppression, physical or psychological of a less powerful individual by a more powerful individual, people or group. It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear. Many people believe that bullying is part of life, happens in all schools and so it’s not an issue to worry about and that it lets individuals know what life is all about as it toughens them but in reality bullying is a detrimental problem that affects most school going children and teenagers physically, emotionally and socially.
Your class has listened to a radio discussion about how adults can be a good influence on younger people. You have made the notes below: Ways adults can influence how younger people behave: giving rules setting an example offering advice Some opinions expressed in the discussion: “Sometimes it’s fun to break the rules!” “If you admire somebody, you try to behave like them.”
Some students might perform best when they listen and participating in class discussions, and other might be visual persons while others prefer to take down notes. This is why it is imperative for the teachers to engage in knowing the students at the beginning of the school year and as quickly as possible for them to implement the right teaching strategies. Another important factor for the teachers to take into consideration is the parental support and home environment in the student success. Nowadays, teachers try to build a friendly relationship with the students’ parents because they know that sometimes when the student is not performing well is because there are problems at home.
