For as long as I can remember, I have possessed a desire to help people, especially those who are less fortunate than me. This trait along with life experiences are what drew me to want to pursue a career in social work. I want to be available to provide support to people when they have nowhere else to turn. My experiences in social work have taught me to celebrate the small victories just as much as the big. I look forward to gaining skills and knowledge that will assist me with becoming a successful social worker.
I currently enjoy what I do for a living; however, I want to advance my career. The person-in-environment theory is a successful tool as it allows the practitioner to identify areas in the clients’ environment that could be improved. This theory benefits Salvation Army practice as they can implement change within the community. They are also able to guide a client to other resources that can assist the client within his or her environment. Although these theories have their strengths and benefits, limitations also exist. The communities that the Salvation Army works with have many diverse clients with different needs and backgrounds.

Being a social worker is often a challenging, yet rewarding career. Social workers are responsible for helping individuals, families, and groups of people to cope with problems they’re facing to improve their patients’ lives. After interviewing a caseworker in a specific social agency there were advantages and disadvantages of methods along with challenges encountered in working in that specific agency. Developing Community: One of the most important aims of education or intention of almost all of the Education Commissions is to uplift the society. Specially, the study of Social Studies aimed at building of communal harmony in spite of big arguments between different ideologies and different races. Education can bridge a gap between these divides, it can act as intervening power to minimize misunderstanding between different communities and create good relationship through its curriculum and the delivery of the teacher through classroom teaching. If a convincing teacher tries to instill the value of communal harmony, students will interestingly grasp the fruit of the teaching through his/her inspiring words.
