Barbie Doll is written by Marge Piercy in 1973.She wrote this poem with a clear point to point out one of our society flaws.While Not everyone views this as a bad thing, but how societies pressures are influencing girls to live up to society's standards has a damaging effect on females and gives them low standards goals on life such as just being a housewife.The poem opens up with the narrator speaking in third person.
