This sentence can really play on your emotions. It makes you truly feel bad for all the African Americans during that time. This was a good use of a pathos appeal. Dr. King’s writings were so pure and could motivate you to help the cause. This is why things got better for his people, because of people like him.
The fact of the matter is a lot of these culturally related jokes within the All in The Family series were more degrading and derogatory. You can spin it however you want, whether the culturally centered jokes illicit laughs, in no real situation should any person of colored be referred to as a “spade” or a “coon”. When these “humorous” judgements and statements come from a more demeaning approach there is no way to justify the use of this culturally specific humor. Many minorities want to break down the barriers that our majority white tv programming often conditions into our society. The overused delinquent and poor narrative has exhausted itself from the minority perspective.
Beating Hitler’s notion was a good thing because everyone was hoping for the best well obviously for their notion but when Jesse Owens won, their was weight lifted off their shoulders because if Hitler’s notion win he would hold it against all of these innocent people that don’t deserve to be treated the way Hitler treats Jewish. Lindner constantly refers to Walter and his family as “you people,” (Hansberry 1207) which implies a superiority of Lindner over Walter. Racism today isn’t as blatant as Lindner’s, but it still exists in various ways. Social media is rampant with stories of racism and riots, and even the news is often flooded with racial strife or prejudice towards one or multiple races. In the play, Hansberry makes great efforts to effectively showcase the over looming racism that existed during the 1950s, and with this, we can see the similarities and differences of our society and Walter’s. Even though the affected parties have drastically changed, we can still see that these issues are still prevalent in our society.
Sports team names such as the Cleveland Indians and the Washington Redskins are extremely offensive to Native Americans, even though many people don’t realize it. In the novel, the reservation school is called the Wellpinit Redskins which was likely named by white people, regardless of how offensive it is. Adding on to that, Junior’s new, predominantly white school also has an offensive mascot: the Reardan Indians. According to John TH, a Native American equality activist, “Mainstream America just doesn’t get it. Announcers on TV regularly say out loud the word ‘red****ns’ as if it is nothing, when in fact, the word is every bit as toxic to us as n****r is to African Americans.” If this is the really the case, then why do we still use these offensive team mascots?
Du Bois lives in a world in which a color line divides all life into two parts. One part is enjoying a lot of special treatment, money, and other advantages in life and white, and it uses for selfish reasons other part that is held back and black. While DuBoise agrees that Washington was a leader in the African American community, he points out that Washington had both good and bad qualities about him.
Of the influential people in the world, many tell their backstory to the public. These influential people describe some of the adversity and hardships they face before becoming prosperous. Many usually face hardship, but not all yet they develop some of the same talents. In society we are taught that anyone can overcome difficulties if they have motivation and initiative and this ideal is valued and promoted among people. There is truth in the claim of the Roman poet, Horace, that adversity forces talents to develop that would not have otherwise if an individual did not face any hardships.
Most people believe that celebrities are overpaid. With all my respect to those people, I oppose their opinion. Many reasons such as the talent of these celebrities, the time they spend away from their family, and their hard work make me strongly believe that celebrities deserve the money they get. Celebrities happen to be born with a gift; A handful of talents sprinkled into their souls. Just like it’s acceptable for attorneys to use their clever minds to win cases then gain
Namely, the most popular organizations that are active in America is the Black Lives Matter movement, born from the cries of the Trayvon Martin case. This organization’s motivation is to create solutions that end systematic discrimination in America (McClain). These organizations are criticized for being radical, trying to solve a problem that critics say do not exist. All Lives Matter is an example of backlash, created for the sheer fact of refuting Black Lives Matter. However, what those who oppose Black Lives Matter fail to recognize is that the movement was created to elevate the status of the black community in society, not bring down everyone else that is not black.
Over the course of the election, he has displayed himself as a man from another time, a time of prominent racist and sexist ideals. Trump just makes himself out to be a target and an easy one with all that he says, how can any media outlet not target that? The fact of the matter is that most outlets choose to put down Trump and support Hillary because at least she is trying to set some kind of example while he acts like a child from the 1860`s. He claims that the media is bullying him as if he himself is not one. He acts like they are making up stories, when they have evidence.

The Little Rock Nine endured, death threats, mental and physical beatings, fear, anger, and so much more just to prove that blacks are equal to whites and that they should be treated equally. In the end, they persevered and made a name not just for themselves, but for the black community. In “Remember the Titans”, the team surpassed racial boundaries to come together and win as a team. The black players could have easily quit because it was hard and they didn’t want to deal with the white players,

However, these frustrations were, for the most part, worked through over time and helped turn our great country into the land of equality that it is today. Heroic men, for example the Dr. Martin Luther King, gave their lives for this fundamental cause. The commotion it created guaranteed a future where both races could interact together. The world has changed for the better as a result of the Black Rights
