The fishing industry plays a key role as it’s a primary source of food for the Tahltans. During the summer and winter months, it’s considered as the harvest season as various salmon species, especially Sockeye and Chinook, would swim return to the tahltan territory to spawn. The Tahltan would set up along “the mid-Stikine, upper-Nass and upper Skeena basins with gill-nets ready for the harvest.” (Rescan. 2012) The fish caught during this season are smoke-dried and are used to feed their families throughout the season. TO: Dr. Jim Turner FROM: Tyler Mead DATE: October 20, 2015 SUBJECT: New England Seafood Company Risk Analysis Overview: Accompanying this memo is a risk analysis I have conducted for New England Seafood Company. The risk analysis I have conducted will show which weighted average cost of capital would be best to use in evaluating the project along with how New England Seafood Company could utilize the land if the project is accepted. A 10% cost of capital will result in a positive net present value but the coefficient of variation will be much higher than New England’s average coefficient of variation. A lower or higher cost of capital could under or over value the project and risks involved.
“In the long run they had lost much weight and it was necessary for Russel to make meat.” This is why in the conditions that they are in they need to hunt for food because they could die if they didn't get food. Hunting is what tribes and cultures do in cold areas to get food. No one could go through cold areas and not get hungry because they need to hunt because they can't grow food.
Bill McEwen does not only use ethos and logos to express and reach out to the reader, but he also uses pathos. With pathos, the author can get into the reader’s mind and make them feel a certain way with his use of words. An example of pathos in the article can be easily shown when McEwen says” The reality is, our federal and state government will spend hundreds of millions-if not billions- of dollars in coming years on a program that will yield a salmon exhibit instead of a substantial fishery”(McEwen 9). McEwen’s use of pathos can be clearly identified in this phrase by looking at the way he states what he is saying. Here, McEwen does not use any facts or famous experts, but he does say this in such a way that the gets the reader really thinking

Through their agricultural practices these indigenous occupants caused ecological change increasing their vegetation for survival. Shaer further explains, “Between A.D. 150 and 300, Teotihuacán grew rapidly. Locals harvested beans, avocados, peppers, and squash on fields raised in the middle of shallow lakes and swampland—a technique known as chinampa—and kept chickens and turkeys” (Shaer). A large variation of plant species were domesticated and cultivated by indigenous people to feed their tribe. Do the amount a constant harvesting without giving the fish to reproduce more the fish themselves have started to mature faster. The fish have matured faster do the fact that they might not have the chance to reproduce so they want to mature as fast as possible to be able to pass down there genes. While the fish mature faster they are also getting harvested more and more rigorously so the studies show that the fish have to mature faster to be able to have a chance in passing their genes down to the next generation. I conclude that harvesting fish is not bad however unless we don’t live the fish’s a__ time to repopulate their species we will not have any fish to eat in the
