I am going to persuade you that softball should be part of our P.E. program. The reasons I believe that softball will help are time management, making friends, communication, and teamwork.
Playing softball helps make friends. When you see those people every day or in our case every other day you will most likely grow to like them. Even if you don't necessarily like them, you will grow to have respect for them. Softball also help you have more problem solving skills, that's say a person on the other team keeps hitting doubles what are you going to do? You and your team would have to come up with a solution. In order to come up with a solution, you have to be able to communicate with your teammates.
Softball also helps kid's social skills grow. Kids will learn to communicate with adults, which can be scary as a kid. Kids can also gain confidence when coaches and teammates complement them. Kids also learn how to take constructive criticism from coaches. Kids can also benefit from learning how to compromise with other players and teammates.

Well, softball would be easer than baseball to play because the ball is bigger and easier to hit. The bases on a softball field are closer together than a baseball field. As for basketball, there are a lot of rules for basketball. With all the fouls turn over and rules it can be confusing. Softball is pretty basic. You hit the ball run the bases and score, on the other end of that you throw and catch a ball. Softball would probably be easer to
Then I will explain how tough it is to be drafted and after that even play. Although some people think baseball is easy. Baseball is the toughest sport. A lot of people watching from the stands or Television see hitting a baseball to be really easy, but it gets much more tough when you step into the box.
The size of a softball field is 7,200 ft2 whereas the size of a baseball field is 16,700 ft2. When balls come off the bat in softball, the velocity is up to 100 mph. A softball player has less time to react from an infield line drive (0.61 seconds) than a tennis player does from a Serena Williams serve (0.65 seconds). When fielding grounders an infielder has to get the ball to first in less than 3.2 seconds which is over a second faster than a typical MLB player can reach first. The infield has even less time to react when facing a slap hitter.
How Softball has Changed Over the Years The growing popularity of softball has intrigued young people around the world to participate in this entertaining sport. Family members come together to play or watch a game of softball. Softball has made many friendships no one thought they would ever have.
The pitchers in softball pitch underhand, which is one of the main differences of softball and baseball. Shortstop is another important position because they retrieve the ball, tag runners, and throw to other players. Shortstop stands in between 2nd and 3rd base, but is a little bit closer to 2nd. Shortstop is there to fill the
Most girls like football players better than baseball. The reason for that is because football is more of a physical sport and you have to be tough. Baseball is a wimpy sport. I played baseball in 5th and 6th grade and I didn’t really care for it. Mr. Hartley was a great coach
You can play softball just about anywhere. If someone is at a cookout and very bored, then you could get a glove and a ball and pass. Throwing the ball is one of the most important motions you do in softball, so it’s good to practice every chance you get. Softball can help you get stronger and it can build up endurance by running. It’s a sport with a great history, so your parents and grandparents and so on, could have played softball or baseball.
Kids can translate the hard work they've put into their sport by working harder to be a better student or employee and a better person overall. Kids sports can most definitely help in the area of working together with someone or a
Another reason why you you should play is because like I said earlier, there is many positions to choose from that you could play. All of you option are pitcher, catcher, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, shortstop, and all of the outfield places. If you are better at one position than another one, your coach could place you were they think would be the best at. My final reason why you should play softball is because you might even have fun playing this sport. I think that it is a very fun sport to play.
“Play for the name on the front of jersey, not the back.” A popular quote for sports players. What does it mean? Anyone who’s seen any sports game with a team uniform would know that the team name is located on the top of the front side of the jersey and the player’s last name goes on the top of the backside of the jersey. So, the quote means play for your team and not for yourself.
Baseball is considered by many to be America’s favorite pastime. Softball in many aspects is similar to baseball but in reality it is harder to play. This can be shown in all aspects of the game from hitting to pitching to fielding to catching. One major aspect where the difference is obvious is hitting. It has been scientifically proven that a 95 mph fastball generates 2411 lbs of force as it crosses the plate and a softball thrown at 65mph generates even more according to youtube.com.
Over the years I’ve gotten stronger, faster, and overall better at softball. Four years into it and I have some great and some painful stories. I’ve learned many things about softball, but one that has stuck out to me and that also applies to life is that it can be fun.
A softball field is very simple. It has this red tinted dirt, fresh cut green grass, 4 white bases, freshly white chalked lines, and a group of girls that love the game. The softball field is so simple, but yet so beautiful to look at and play on. The cages come along with the softball field as well. The cages or even more simple than the field, all it has is a net, some turf ground, a bucket of
Baseball features a pitching mound that the pitchers throw the baseball from. This is different in softball. In softball the pitcher delivers balls on level ground with the batter. The other difference is that softball pitchers
