INTRODUCTION
This report is an evaluation of a proposal, titled “Mobile Charging Cap”, by an anonymous writer from NTU School of Material Science and Engineering.

DESCRIPTION
He or she had proposed a solution to a problem faced by users of portable chargers, which is a portable device that is used to charge mobile phones anywhere. The problem is that when portable chargers run out of power themselves, they become useless, and to overcome this, some manufacturers prolonged the lifespan of the portable chargers, but in turn made them bulkier and heavier. The author had proposed an alternative solution, which involves solar panels and a cap, otherwise called a solar cap. Take an average consumer in Singapore for example. In Singapore, an average person sees the sunlight mostly through windows, while they are working, commuting, having leisure time or the sorts. There is rarely a time where a person is under the sun, directly receiving the sun’s light, which is the main souce for the solar cap, unless they are playing sports or walking on the streets, of which will only amounts to a few hours or even minutes per day anyway. This is because almost everywhere in Singapore is sheltered. Outdoor facilities are also sheltered, even outdoor sidewalks may be sheltered by trees, if not a man-made shelter, consequently preventing direct sunlight from shining onto people.
