Did you know that climate change is occurring at a very rapidly pace? Climate change is the process in which causes the geometric distribution of weather patterns. We developed agriculture, civilization, industry, and technology generally in a global climate that was warm, pleasant, and mostly predictable. However, Regional climates have changed now, which are considered as drastically and disastrously for local human populations. I believe that that the causes of climate change has an affect on animals, plants and ecosystems, however there are some solutions that can be done to prevent the problem of climate change. One of the causes of climate change is the greenhouse effect. Green house affect is a process by which thermal radioactivity …show more content…
Ways it can affect people is when it when wildfires start and the animals or who ever is in that place couldn’t escape and the species with their habitat could be destroyed. Also Melting tundra, rising sea levels is a threat to people who live near the ocean since flooding and tsunami could happen. We all know that tsunami can kill over thousands of people.. Another negative effects climate change that scientists discovered is that the ice is breaking up way too early, and that the plants and animal ranges have shifted. Also, they discovered trees are flowering sooner. Last, there is the loss of sea ice and the more intense heat waves.= which can be a problem in the future. Not only climate change can affect society such as humans and animals, but can also affect the economy. We know that climate changes cause sea level to rise, and when the sea level rise a lot, droughts can occur. Tsunami also occurs, and tsunami kills people and destroys people. So when the tsunami occurs, it destroys many buildings. At the end, thee government are forced to use all their money to repair the damaged building, and recreate their country. That’s when they are out of money, they are forced to drop the value of their currency. With the drop of the currency, the economy becomes very weak. As you can see, Climate change has an affect on society where animals and humans are affected; and also has an
For example, during Weaver’s lecture, he explains how the change in climate could lead to new pests and diseases being introduced to an area. This would have negative consequences to the affected environment as the individuals are unprepared to tackle these new species. Furthermore, if all of the Earth’s ice melted, then cities such as Amsterdam and Miami would be submerged into the water, making the land uninhabitable. As a result, those citizens would have to move to other cities which would have financial consequences to families that are forced to move as they must find another place for shelter. Furthermore, cities that are not submerged will probably be overpopulated by the migrating citizens.
Some people will have to buy a lot more supplies to deal with the issues, as well as visit the doctor. These all cost money and as the season's length increases more and more people will have to spend a lot of money to help their well being. Another reason why global health is a huge outcome of climate change is because the National Medical Association has 88 percent of their members that believe climate change is affecting their patients' health. (Doc F) This proves that the health of people globally is being impacted and that
Water rising due to climate change is impacting people by causing islands to get flooded. This causes people to have to evacuate and find new homes, which can cause overpopulation in some cases (Doc G & H). Climate change is also impacting people because of health. The warmer temperatures cause there to be longer pollen seasons since the cold comes later and goes away sooner (Doc E). This makes for miserable and potentially dangerous summers for people who are allergic to pollen (Doc F).
The Earth is melting, and people need to help. Climate change is a regular thing that happens on Earth, but recently, it has changed drastically. " Since 1880, Earth’s average temperature has increased by about 0.8 degrees Celsius. (BGE) This may not seem like much, but scientists are worried.
These include floods and droughts. However, the most concrete impact recently has been by drought. The government and the people have not been able to provide enough food supply for themselves. Due to the growth
Climate change is an irreversible consequence of the damage we do to our Earth. If we do not change our ways, the global temperature will swell, causing an unchangeable series of events, consecrating detriments onto all the existence upon Earth. In only about 140 years, the average global temperature has increased 0.8 degrees celsius, and the ramification is the irreparable destruction of the place where we and millions of other species live. The most important consequence of climate change is the global increase in temperature and how that is affecting various animal species all over the Earth, the health of humans, and the rapid rise of sea level.
By releasing this gas into the air the natural greenhouse gases increase and cause many effects to happen. Carbon dioxide is also caused by removing natural resources from the land for agriculture. When the Earth starts to warm many other things do to, the ocean will become more acidic and glaciers might partially melt. If the oceans become acidic, fish and other sea creatures will have an unlivable environment. If glaciers start to melt arctic animals that rely on the ice may start to become extinct.
Global warming can cause many changes in our environment. Polar ice caps can start to melt which can cause rising sea levels and can easily lead to coastal flooding on the eastern seaboard. There can also be affects on the types of storms that can occur if global warming continues. Scientists say that category three storms can turn into a more dangerous category fours. Farms and cities will face new pests, heatwaves, heavy downpours, and increased flooding.
A large population especially those residing near the coastal area would become homeless. Some people would have access to luxuries of life while the rest of the people would have to fight for the basic human necessities for their families. This un-equality would result in increased crime rate in society. All in all, the humanity would face a tremendous disaster if the necessary measures are not taken in order to control the activities causing global warming. As well as, there should be a struggle to counterbalance its effects.
All of the greenhouse gases contribute to the atmosphere trapping heat and warming the earth and warming the Earth has many effects. The earth being warmed, meaning from North Pole to South Pole, melts ice in the poles. The melting of the ice causes sea levels to rise and the effect of that is flooding and lost habitat for animals. Increase in temperature makes some of population of plant and animal species go down. Increase in temperature also affects the weather.
The most intense greenhouse effects include water vapors, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. Moreover, the other chemicals such as CFC also contribute to the green house effects. It should be noted that the absorbed energy from the atmosphere by the earth directly increase the surface temperature. The Earth only has the tendency to absorb and maintain 33 degree Celsius temperature, and rapid increase lead to destruction of the human life on Earth.
Throughout history Earth`s climate has changed a lot, and there is a lot of evidence that shows how humans have contributed to this changed and effected the Earth. Just in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advances, the increase in the thickness and area of a glacier. As well as glacial retreats, a condition occurring when backward melting at the front of a glacier takes place at a rate exceeding forward motion. Most climate changes are attributed to very small variations in the earth`s orbit, that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives. The 21st century has seen the most temperature records broken in recorded history.
One of the greatest issues that we face towards the environment has been an increasingly difficult problem over the last few years. Earths climate is changing at rapid paces and solutions are needed as quickly as possible to replenish natural ecosystems and cultures that depend on the environment. Climate change not only affects the animals in our ecosystem, but us humans as well. With the human population increasing every year, climate change is only getting worse. Many argue that the effects of climate change towards the environment are due to other extraneous factors, however, I myself am a strong believer that the problems such as rising sea levels, warmer temperatures and natural disasters are all due to both natural causes and human activity.
Researches show that the average temperature of the planet has been changed during the last decades, as a result, many problems join with it and climate change is considered as the biggest problem around the world. Climate change is one of the results of global warming and it has so many negative disadvantage impacts on earth, including; increasing the events of natural
What is global warming? Global warming is defined as “ an increase in the earth 's average atmospheric temperature that causes corresponding changes in climate, and that may result from the greenhouse effect" (“Global warming”). Natural events and human that causes global warming are believed to be factors to increase in average temperatures. This essay looks into the growing problem of global warming and suggests reasonable solutions to it. It also evaluates the effectiveness of these solutions.
