In schools even though kids are meeting each other socilization isn 't really taking place ,If sitting in one chair for 7 or 8 hours is deemed as socialization I can-not comprehend what feeling lonely must be .Schools even give very short breaks where the kid barely has time to eat how is one suppose to interact .By homeschooling, various clubs can be joined and many more people can be spoken to and made friends with , a lot more time can be given to have fun with their friends as homeschooling timings are very adjustable . Homeschooling doesn 't stunt social skills in any manner infact gives more time to do so. Kids might make friends that last for a lifetime as they can meet more often due to homeschooling but in schools many children lose connections with each other after school hours / after graduating. Children are affected by their surroundings a lot so one kid might want to study with others while another kid might not . Some kids work better with others as competition as it helps them progress better.Homeschooling can be done with a small group of kids or only one kid depending on the personal preference of the kid . Some kids who get pressured by too much competition can chose to study alone in

Hello Ms. Bahorich, I am a current student at the University of Texas at Arlington and I believe that there is an injustice in the education system in Texas. I believe that the way it’s funded gives a disadvantages to students that attend a school located in a low income neighborhood over schools located in a rich neighborhood. Personally, I admire you for being on the Texas Board of Education as the chairperson, because your job is more than just leading meetings over the Texas education system, giving ideas on how to improve the education system, or make sure that school districts are regulated according to standards. Your job goes beyond that; the future of Texas students is in your hands. Texas education has greatly improved since the beginning

However, what homeschooling does provide are flexibility and freedom. The flexibility to choose materials the child is interested in learning more about and the freedom to choose where and when to spend family time together. Families are not held to an 8-3 school schedule with truants and late slips. They have the ability to plan vacations according to what works for their family, not what the school schedule allows for them. Many states have heavy regulations on homeschooling as far as the requirements and responsibilities go.

Home schooling is a trending concept that is popular mostly in US and around the world. Home schooling preferred often by the parents that have environmental concerns, religious beliefs, lack of confidence to the education quality of the public and private schools and inadequacy of curriculum. They believe that they can give better education to their children at home. According to Jamie Martin (Homeschooling 101: What Is Homeschooling, 2012), home schooling began to grow in the 1970s, when popular writers and researchers such as John Holt and Dorothy and Raymond Moore wrote about the educational reforms and they alleged that home schooling is a valid educational alternative.
One common misconception about public education is that it is the only valid method of education in modern society. This is not true. There are a plethora of private and home education options available nationally. On average, homeschooled students receive considerably higher scores on standardized tests than public schooled students. While median scores for most standardized tests for public school students are around the fiftieth percentile, the median score of homeschoolers on the same standardized tests are in the eightieth percentile or higher, in all subjects.

One of the reasons is that homeschooling creates an incredible amount of isolation for the child. Homeschooling won’t let the kid be surrounded by children with the same age, and this will affect the child’s social life. No one

Almost everyone has experienced peer pressure at least once in their lifetime, either on a small scale or a large one, in a positive or a negative way. It is quite easy to get influenced by peer pressure (especially in the teenage years) because everyone wants to fit in and not be left out. Teens sometimes give into peer pressure by doing risky things. Correct friends -are more likely to- play more safe decisions in general.
