Finally, we need to fix the rations around the world. In document seven we see a tweet from jessie saying there’s more food in Africa hen there is in Africa. Africa has rations for how much food people get, low ranking people get less food than high ranking people get. This isn’t fair because here are several kids I know who always have leftover food that they throw away. If the government set a worldwide ration per person, we could divide the food
FAO reported that 2008 was the second largest crop in history. That same year, according to Action International, five million children died of hunger. It has been shown that the planet can produce food for a population more significant than the current one. However, 1.02 billion people suffer from famine (1 in 6.5), and 100 million more joined last years. The poor are not responsible for hungry lives, without water and electricity.

NO KID HUNGRY PLEDGE No Kid Hungry Pledge To Eradicate childhood Hunger In America Hunger is psychological and physical phenomenon in human system manifested in the form of discomfort or weakness which results from the inadequacy or absence of food or appropriate nutrients. A large population around the globe, including the united States of America, experience hunger and the consequences because of a shortage or lack of the right type of food. A “No Kid Hungry” TV commercial, launched in 2010 by Share Our Strength food network organization, uses different components of appeal to captivate/persuade viewers to partner with the food banks and other programs to resolve the issues of hunger among children in America. The author of the commercial,
“More than 17 million children are suffering from hunger in the U.S” (“Ending Childhood Hunger in America”). It was shocking to see the number this high. “More than 20 percent of the children live in households without consistent access to food” (“15 Percent of All Children in Illinois”). This is a massive number and shows how much poverty there is in the U.S. When they suffer like this then the results don’t turn out as well.
As I think ‘poverty’ is something related to human beings and discarded from all the wants. Poverty Gap: Poverty is one of the biggest challenges in the global whereas it impacts particularly in Asia and Pacific region. Mainly the developing countries like: Nepal, Bhutan, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh with some developed countries like China and India has facing poverty. As if compared to past decades, the rate of poverty has been declining gradually in the global. According to The World bank, in 2013, 10.7 percent of the world’s population lived on less than US$1.90 a day, compared to 12.4 percent in 2012.
Today in America the homeless account for almost 1.8 million with nearly 44 % of them being men. Disease and mortality are greatest in the homeless, there has “been a 51% increase in the number of patients age 50 or older between 2008 and 2014 (Healthcare).” With these increasing numbers, the growing need for advanced care planning in the homeless is becoming more relevant. The case study that was examined was Paul: No Surrogate. For Paul his situation is becoming more common in healthcare today. Paul does not have a living will or an advanced care plan for his end of life needs.
The First World War was a major cause for a rapid decrease in the human population. The War created a gap in an entire generation and led to a baby-boom after the war was over. By looking at the graph, one can see that only about half the people sent into war came home unwounded and still alive. For instance, 12.000.000 soldiers were mobilised from 1914 to 1918 and about 2.000.000 soldiers died. This is a decrease of about 16 % of soldiers in 4 years.
This documentary film explores the poverty issue in America. They follow three families who are struggling with financial difficulty due to the down fall of the economy. They interview the kids from each family while allowing them to freely express their feelings about being poor. These families do not come from the infamous welfare system. They are the victims of the market crash that led to the economic recession that started in late 2000’s.
