Breakfast is the first opportunity the body has to refuel its glucose (blood sugar) levels after the fast of eight to twelve hours without a meal or snack.
When you wake up in the morning your body is in need of nourishment. Eating a nutritional breakfast is like putting premium fuel in your car when the fuel tank is running on empty.
It is vital that you eat a solid breakfast at the start of your day if you want to be focused and alert throughout the day.

If kids are tired in the morning they would not hear all the things the teacher is telling the class. They could miss important things such as, notes for exams, projects and assignment deadlines. The human body may be awake but the mind is not functioning as it should be.
Considering that breakfast is one of most important meals of the day, this can affect a pupil mentally and they won’t. A way the school can help overcome this issue is by holding fundraising events to raise money for pupils that cannot afford school uniform, trips etc. Schools could also begin to provide free school meals for children of low income families so that their child can still have lunch at school without the added expensive cost. This means that they will be able to learn as normal and pay attention without being hungry and distracted during classes. One negative affect is that students may decide to not go to school as much due to the lack of appetizing lunches being served, which may lead to all sorts of negative affects. Another negative effect is test scores and grades may drop because the student is not as focused because they have not had anything to eat and are much more worried about eating than paying attention in class. The mood of the school might also be more negative. If students are happy and feel they are treated fairly they will show more school spirit and all around be a much happier learning environment.
But I missed breakfast. I was working and when I finished they made me do more. Then was lunch break. I thought I would get food. But I didn’t.

Being hungry is a form of physical pain. Students often become hungry during school, which make them focus on their hungry other than school work. Students can barely concentrate when they are hungry. But on the other hand, eating in school can be very loud and obnoxious. Students should be allowed to eat in class, because it helps the mind focus and stay on task.
Also, if school starts later you will be able to have a proper and healthy breakfast. It is important for students’ because with there growing bodies and developing brains they need regular refueling often, from food. When kids skip breakfast, they don’t get what they need to be at their best in school and at home.
