When the penny was first established, it was worth more than it is today. With one cent you could buy a variety of sweets. Today a penny can’t buy anything on its own. This change is because of the increase of currency production. The penny is incredibly common, which makes it nearly invaluable in society.
Not only does do offshore drilling rigs pollute the air but they also pollute the oceans and create a deadly environment for marine life and reefs. This shows how one small mistake made by oil drilling companies is extremely dangerous to the environment and could even wipe out populations of marine life which can create dead zones. Majority of pollution comes from storing toxic oils that are dangerous to the oceans. The amount of air pollutants is not that much compared to other contributors of air pollution but they all add up and will slowly destroy our
They say that it penalizes those who cannot afford the bags or cloth bags. The average reusable grocery bag sells anywhere from one dollar to five dollars and lasts years. If one went to the store and needed five bags every time, the would spend a dollar and twenty five cents every time they went. If they go once a week to the store, they would be spending sixty five dollars a year on just plastic bags. Instead of that, why not just spend around ten dollars to buy five reusable bags and save money every year?
Everyday people buy plastic things from the cafeteria, from plastic containers, lids on cups, and things as small as straws, and like 50% of plastic used it will be thrown away after one use. It will most likely end up in a landfill somewhere or in the ocean, and as you may think that your actions do not impact the world, think again. Everyone in the world has at least used one piece of plastic, adding to the problem of plastic pollution and helping certifying the terrifying statisticc that acooording to the 2018 Earth day video, “by 2050 there will more plastic in the ocean than fish”, which almost is impossible to think of.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau states that 75% of the industry’s fees come from borrowers who take out more than 10 loans a year. The Center for Responsible Lending is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization that focuses on fighting predatory lending practices. The director of state policy Diane Standaert argues that payday loans are not how the industry advertises them to be, and that borrowers have no choice but to roll over their loans many times, which rises the interest fees, trapping the low-income borrowers in an endless loop. The Center for Responsible Lending offers a yearly interest percent cap at 36%, claiming it to be reasonable standard for borrowers to pay back. However, Jamie Fulmer, the spokesperson for Advance America, one of the United State’s biggest payday lenders, argues that the proposed price cap is not reasonable at all, since they cannot make a reasonable profit from that, and explains further that the payday-loan interest
Without it we would be dead from the dehydration. Fracking in this case can contaminate it to where we cannot drink it and if we do it can lead to death or a trip to the hospital: Drinking water sources have been contaminated with explosive methane, as well as other dangerous substances, such as benzene and arsenic, that can cause cancer and other serious illnesses. Toxic chemicals, as well as erosion and runoff from drilling operations, have fouled
That’s not counting college tuition, which has grown exponentially since our parent’s generation. "Twenty percent of the family population is one child," said Psychologist Susan Newman, author of the book Parenting an Only Child. "In the major metropolitan cities, like New York and Los

Offshore drilling is a topic surrounded by controversy. While oil is, arguably, one of the most important recourses in the modern world, acquiring it is a risky procedure: oil drilling. Over the years, oil drilling has resulted in oil leaking into, and contaminating ocean water. In addition, the pursuit of oil has deterred companies from transitioning to cleaner, renewable resources. With this information, it is conclusive that offshore oil drilling is bad, and should not be practiced anymore.
