John records more of these analogies than any other gospel, giving us some of the most famous word pictures for Christ. Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” —John 6:35. “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” —John 8:12.
Psalm 89:26 says, “He shall cry to Me, ‘You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation’” (NKJV). Many other religions acknowledge that Jesus was a good teacher, but they strip Him of His Deity. With the Word of God as our source, we can see that Jesus is just as much God as the Father and Spirit. In Phil. 2:5-11 Paul gives us a very clear picture of Jesus’ deity “Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage…” (NLT).
2) The second coming occurs after the great and terrible tribulation (Revelation chapters 6–19). The rapture occurs before the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10). 3) The rapture is the removal of believers from the earth as an act of deliverance (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 5:9). The second coming includes the removal of unbelievers as an act of judgment (Matthew 24:40-41).
The narrator of Genesis gives us information on Jacob’s family, who will reside in Egypt and work as slaves. Later on, God takes them to be a nation in which they will enter Canaan, showing that God works in mysterious ways, by blessing Jacobs’ family. Joseph’s dreams in Genesis 37 hold a special message. Jealousy, hatred, and lying are formidable obstacles, but God tells his followers to trust in his word, be patient, and trust in Gods’ promises. Josephs’ dreams also revealed to us that God works through us in many ways.
BOOK XXII The SON - God Sent Forth His Son Galatians 4:4-5 says: 4But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. The Greek, the same in both the TR (KJV) and the eclectic text (Westcott & Hort) says: 4ὅτε δὲ ἦλθεν τὸ πλήρωμα τοῦ χρόνου, ἐξαπέστειλεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ, γενόμενον ἐκ γυναικός, γενόμενον ὑπὸ νόμον, 5ἵνα τοὺς ὑπὸ νόμον ἐξαγοράσῃ, ἵνα τὴν υἱοθεσίαν ἀπολάβωμεν. This essay examines the political and religious situation of the world into which Jesus was born. This is to determine what human preparation was made for his advent and how this ‘aided’ the spread of Christianity and prepared
In Creation the Word said, “Let there be Light.” And the Spirit “moved upon the waters.” And creation was accomplished. But then the great disobedience supervened and we needed to be redeemed. In redemption the Holy Spirit provides the gift of repentance and the Word provides atonement.
The Significance of the Rapture event • While we await the gentile age to end in the catastrophic era of the great tribulation, but the Bible promises us hope for the Church. • The hope in question is encapsulated in the supernatural event called rapture. “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ , who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep we should live together with him”(I Thessalonians 5:9,10). • The word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible. However, the use of the word is implied in the scriptures.
1:34And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him. 1:35And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed. 1:36And Simon and they that were with him followed after him; 1:37and they found him, and say unto him, All are seeking thee. 1:38And he saith unto them, Let us go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also; for to this end came I forth. 1:39And he went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out
And lo, voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. John 14:26- But the Comforter ,which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 1:14- And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten the Father ) full of grace and truth. 1 John 5:7-8 – For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the word, and the Holy Ghost; and this are three one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in
[to] mourn with him, and to comfort him” (Job 2:11). After a week of lamenting with him, they began to discuss his calamities and suffering. Job listed his complaints, showing the inequities of life. Later God agreed with him. Not everything in this life is fair and equitable.
