In the story Stephen is encapsulated by the kindness of his fellow worker and greatly impacts Stephan’s ability to determine his own destiny. The Glass Roses shows that individuals tend to hide their true emotions in order to gain respect from their peers however kindness, once truly unveiled can play a huge role in determining ones destiny.
Living in a modern world many people get well educated and are making good changes in the world. But are we forgetting something in our busy society? In our world it is hard to indicate whether it is genuine when an individual is treated in a kind matter or being deceived in order to get exploited for something in one’s possession. Expanding kindness to all things is the trickiest part. But it can be done. Saunders mentions the most respectable names in history as an example of kindness like Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Shakespeare. Kindness is what saves each of us. Each of us can recall the random act of kindness that was done to each of us.
“Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see” (Mark Twain). Mark Twain explains in this quote that kindness is given by few, but known to all. In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Mark touches on how the world can change and create new boundaries for life as it is.
Personal narrative Depression can be a monster and destroy the lives of people, but in my case it help me express my emotions better by helping me be more honest with myself. Depression has never been alien to me. Since middle school I have danced with the devil. I do not know what triggered it then, but it was mostly likely hormones. Despite that ever looming sadness over my head, I was still doing well in school, at least as best as I could do, I still hung out with people and I was still social when I had to be.
Kindness is cool, and I can prove that through my own personal experiences.
