They live in these types of oceans, because if it was a colder climate they would die from hypothermia and soon the species would become extinct. These sharks like to stay in schools up to 100 in numbers. The reason they stick together is there is more protection in numbers and they can kill bigger prey like big great white sharks. Next Hammerhead sharks gets there name for its flat shaped head and some people think it is useless to the shark. With their special heads, they have 360 degree vision!
They will generally hunt close to the shore as long as their food is sufficient otherwise they move to deeper water looking for food while they become vulnerable to their predators of Killer Sharks and Whales. Sea Lion swallow their food without chewing or tear it into chunks using their sharp teeth. They also use their back teeth to break the shells on clams so that they can consume what is inside. The daily food consumption by adult California sea lions ranges from about 5% to 8% of their body weight per day which is equivalent to 7-18
However, they have been seen in groups around carcasses. Great whites must swim constantly, or they will drown. They are able to travel vast distances thanks to their powerful bodies. All sharks have a distinct appearance, and the great shark is no exception. They have a pointed snout and a large, torpedo-like body.

As of now, there is an average of sixteen shark attacks a year. If sharks were truly hunting humans, that number would be much higher than it is. Only about 4 shark attacks are fatal a year, and that number is because one bite from a shark is more than enough to kill somebody. Even a investigatory bite can be enough for a human to suffer massive blood loss, simply because a shark’s mouth size and bite force creates a devastating attack. Sharks are truly not trying to kill humans, and if they were every shark attack would be fatal.
After 25 years at SeaWorld Tilikum started to show an abnormal and repetitive behavior where he would chew on metal gates and on the concrete sides of the tanks which has caused his teeth to warn down. The stress of being in captivity has also caused him to be aggressive towards humans and because of that there have been 3 death: One being Keltie Byrne in 1991, the second attack was to Daniel P. Dukes in 1999 and the most resent one the death of Dawn Brancheau in 2010. In my opinion the death of Dawn has been the most famous in SeaWorld because there is more information about her death than the others and also is the most recent death at SeaWorld. According to the documentary "BlackFish" Dawn died when Tilikum grabbed a hold of her upper arm and pulling her underwater while he was doing that he dismembered her and broke most of her bone then he
Another issue mentioned in the documentary was where the whales were kept. They kept the whales in a dark, metal, twenty by thirty foot pools for the majority of their lives. A former Seaworld trainer described the modules as “floating steel boxes.” According to Ken Balcomb, director of the Centre for Whale Research,“If that is true, it’s not only inhumane and I’ll tell them so, but it
They had developed a special way of hunting ringed seals which were abundant in that area. In Jared Diamond’s Collapse, he describes the process
Last two representatives of the huge terrestrial fauna kill around 100 people each year, while sharks have around five victims on their account. Meanwhile, tigers and elephants already had law protection, when the documentary was created, while sharks were treated as a source of valuable product (their fins) and a monster that should be killed before it would get an opportunity to attack. Numbers, mentioned by the film, created the impression the situation is totally unfair. As if officials today will forget about their efforts against the ivory black-market
A killer whale named Tilikum was placed in Sealand and he was expected to perform tricks that he had never done, and if he performed them incorrectly all of the whales were withheld food. “This annoyed the others, so they would rake him with their teeth, causing him to bleed” (Lewis). In the wild, when a dominant orca begins showing aggression the other orca has thousands of miles to swim away and flee the scene. However, these animals are in pools where they do not have that option. Living in these tanks are essentially giving killer whales the image of being monsters.

Common bottlenose dolphins and killer whales are the most well-known types of the dolphin on Earth. Both of them are warm-blooded marine mammals belonging to the Delphinidae family. The scientific name of the common bottlenose dolphin is Tursiops truncatus, which means “dolphinlike”, and the killer whale is Orcinus orca, which means “of the kingdom of the dead”. This name is likely a reference to killer whales’ outstanding hunting skill. In Latin, orca means "large-bellied pot or jar".
