Did you know that sport was originally the way for soldiers to prove themselves to join the army? ; Or that the first ever sport that was invented in history took place in Egypt and it included wrestling and snooker? Sport is any type of physical movement and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment and to stay fit. Sports grabbed the attention of lots of people during the last couple of years as sports grew from being a way of exercise and enjoying time to expand into all ways. Tyson (2004) states “Number one is just to gain a passion for running. To love the morning, to love the trail, to love the pace on the track. Sports have now been involved in our daily routines, either in our work, our social life and other sections. Sport have grown to attract businesses to it, with people investing money on their sports club or to host an event. Television Channels and media play a huge role in sports as they report updated news about events played throughout the whole year. Companies like Nike and Adidas sponsor events throughout the whole year to encourage people to play sports which gives them popularity, sport is a key of success for money, staying in shape and to grab people attention. This research paper will talk about how sport takes huge part in people’s life in three major sections; keeping fans entertained, building huge businesses and keeping people healthy. The initial major effect of sport is keeping fans entertained.
