King has really put a great impact on writing and the arts society, with helping from amuatur fimlmmakers to sturggling newbie writers all for the cost of nothing. “He influenced countless writers, such as myself, and films, and his influence and voice will echo off of the walls of horror forever. Here, pathos is very useful in proving Traub’s claim because by the end of the article, the reader will be in complete agreement that newspaper comic strips are a treasure and will soon be a thing of the past. Another instance of pathos is seen in paragraphs three and eleven when Traub references characters and their different personalities from several newspaper comics. By doing this, Traub is effectively appealing to both his intended audience and those who are not adamant newspaper comic strip followers. This is because he is able to effectively point out that every person has a comic strip character that they can relate to, and even gives several examples. Pathos is seen again in Traub’s writing in paragraphs five, six, and seven.

King has earned this title of G.O.A.T. because of how he can take a social group and mold them into a certain image to maximize the reaction of his words. In his speeches, King is very wise because he knew the best way to have his message remembered and push forward the civil rights movement was to get an emotional response.

The American dream is alive in the hearts of all Americans and inspires many to move to the country. It is defined in Merriam-Webster as: “A happy way of living that is thought of by many Americans as something that can be achieved by anyone in the U.S. especially by working hard and becoming successful.” This topic is a central theme in literature because of its widespread popularity. In “Soldier’s Home” by Ernest Hemmingway, “Battle Royal” by Ralph Ellison, and Saving Sourdi by May-Lee Chai the theme is prominent in how the characters act. However, each story shows it from a different perspective. “Battle Royal” is narrated by a black boy who is facing prejudice from the white men of his town while Krebs in “Soldier’s Home” is fighting societal norms and wanting to express his freedom after serving his country.
My dad is one of the many people in my life that have a colossal impact on my literacy. He was a self-made person who believes 100 % and more in a power of literacy.
