“Compassion, which I define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi’s life so you may say we are encouraged to love.” Star Wars is a story that reflects the fundamental struggle between good and evil. There is an oppressive Empire while a group of rebels tries to destroy it and create a better galaxy for all. 2 major characters in the series are Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker. Both Anakin and Luke were both Jedi, but that's where the similarities seem to end. Anakin ended up a villain, a commander of the Imperial Army because he gave in to hate. He slaughtered villages of people to satisfy his rage. His hatred and anger made him a different person. He even went as far as killing his old mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi. He risks his life time after time for them and on the Death Star, a selfless deed. Han Solo and Chewbacca helped him leave Tatooine, and he paid them back a hundred times over by saving their lives. A compassionate person, Luke cared about his friends, and companions so much that he would risk his life for theirs. Anakin and Luke both cared deeply about those close to them and do sometimes irrational things to avenge or save them. Lastly, they were both trained by the same people. Anakin was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi, even though he was too old to train because he already had attachments to the physical. According to an old prophecy, Anakin would defeat the siths and bring balance to the force, but sadly that was not what happened. Eventually, Anakin turned to the dark side of the force and killed Obi-Wan to prove his strength. Anakin always tries to prove to Obi-Wan that he is neither rash nor foolish, but only proved his point in the end. Luke was also trained by Obi-wan. He taught him everything he knew and prepared him so he would not turn to the dark side of the force like his father and sense the force with feelings. By Obi-Wans guidance, Luke fulfilled the prophecy instead of Anakin. Both Anakin and Luke became powerful Jedi because they were trained by
Frank Luke stood out among other aces, as an independent, solo flyer. By himself, Luke made savage solo attacks at the enemy, even against orders to the contrary. Luke did not do this out of disrespect on the level of professionalism, but due to a sense of patriotism. His personality was a combination of aggression and an honest dislike for discipline. Luke did not wait around for orders, he was there to act, and his ultimately goal was to take down every enemy balloon and enemy
Something that I would change is that, Luke is very selfish in this book. He never helps anyone but himself. In the other three books, he was a very nice guy and helped everyone. This made me quite angry because, he changed instantly for the fourth one. Another thing that I didn’t like was how there weren’t any new characters in this book.

An epic hero is someone who is brave, noble and will fight for a certain goal. An epic hero must be able to risk his life for others and is humble. In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope by George Lucas, there is a kid named Luke Skywalker who helps Princess Leia destroy the deathstar. In the story of Homerś The Odyssey, it is about a man named Odysseus, who is punished a long journey home.
For the first time, though, Luke believed in himself instead of his brother’s words. He didn’t know why, but he felt that his decision was better. Luke knew all the risks, but he decided to face it. He wanted to change.

Luke had C3-PO and R2-D2 to lead him, but he did not want to do what they said. Then he did because his aunt and uncle were killed by Imperial stormtroopers.they had things they were reluctant to do, but they did it anyway Both have some very special abilities. There is a theory that there are only seven different story-lines in the world, but they are all re-used in different ways to make up all of the books and movies and plays we have today. If that theory were true, Luke's life fell into the category of the quiet kid with no glaringly obvious hopes, dreams or aspirations, if that category existed. His life seemed to helplessly revolve around school, and he spent all of his nights slaving over books and copies, studying his subject matter with an outlook of frustration on his world. Luke was nothing special to himself or to anybody else. Of course, if he found the right person, they would be able to find the special and unique aspects of Luke and embrace them, but that somebody just hadn't seemed
According to Campbell, an ordinary world setting sets the scene for the soon to be hero and draws attention on the dilemma. His second rule states that the main character either has an overwhelming will power for the adventure or an outside force puts pressure on them to complete certain tasks. Luke lived in an ordinary world on his Uncle’s moisture farm on the planet of Tatooine; he was very sheltered from the outside forces and wars that were going on around him. He never knew his biological parents or his twin sister, as his mother died while giving birth and his father, Anakin Skywalker, was a Jedi Knight for the Jedi Forces, but had slowly been seduced over to the Dark Side. Luke’s father had separate his two children for safety purposes and left Luke on the desert planet of Tatooine while his sister Leia, was place on the planet called Alderaan.
Star Wars vs. Star Trek The question has long been asked in the science fiction community: which is better - Star Wars or Star Trek? The answer is most definitely different depending on who you ask. Some fans might claim “the force” in Star Wars is better a better weapon than any Federation firearm out there.
Obi Wan Kenobi teaches Luke the ways of the Jedi, along with telling him how the force is within him and every living thing. The Force is a Jedi's source of energy, therefore it fits into the Mana archetype. Similar to a Buddhist monk, Obi-Wan
