The differences between the book and the movie is that the book is shifting through time. However, in the movie Paul is telling the story to his girlfriend at the right time sequence. Usually the book has more detail in the story. For instance, the story how Delacroix and Bitter Buck got the death sentence, is not told. Also the minor hint when they find John at the crime scene, with a swarm of mosquitos around his head. The last thing they didn’t film in the movie was at the end when his wife dies and Paul caught a glint of Coffey before he fades away. I think it is a very impotent part of the book and it tells us that there is life after

Also the little things that caught my attention like when Sarny screamed after Nightjohn lost his finger and when Mr. Waller made Mrs. Waller slap Sarny. In the book their was less things going on, their was less descriptions, and it was not as specific. I liked the movie more than the book because in the movie you can see how the characters looked. In the movie you can see the kind of person each character is like if they were nice or mean. Also in the movie you could see the pain in a slave’s face after they were whipped or if the got their finger cut
In addition, Paul was injured in the book and goes home and stays with her family while he recovers. He is no longer able to relate to his family, since it is very difficult to think and have emotions and at the same time with much death all around him in the war. There is much talk of how he and his friends do not think about deep things, but just think about eating and silly things. His father and people over all his people want me to tell them stories of war and hate Paul because their experiences are horrible. Paul has just returned to the fight and basically everyone in the book is wounded and dies.
It had more narration so the reader could understand what is happening. Secondly, the movie. The movie was different than the book. It had some parts that were in the book, but it lacked some details.
One huge difference in the setting, in the book the story takes place on the shore of lake Michigan in a brand new apartment building in a small town. On the other hand the movie takes place old, run down apartment in the middle of a huge city. Another example is the characters, in the book there are 16 heirs with eight pairs. In the movie there are 10 heirs and 5 pairs. Also the movie leaves out some huge characters like Theo Theodorakis, Flora Baumbach, and
Another difference is that in the movie they go into town, but in the book it 's never mentioned. Something else that was different was that in the book the mood was happy most of the time, while in the movie the mood was sad. A difference between the book and the movie is that in the book momma was going to burn Byron, but in the movie she does not burn him. A big difference is that in the
The movie has a different story structure. Unlike the book the movie has some flashbacks. Some differences are that she walks in oh the man in the beginning. Steel Magnolias is the story of six witty women who spend most of their time at the salon gossiping, exchanging recipes and, oh yes, occasionally getting their hair and nails done. The story is filled with many jokes and strong female friendship. Through the buzz of blowdryers and the haze of hairspray, these strong-willed Southern women retain a bond that can withstand any challenge. Combining humor and comedy with a tragic storyline, Steel Magnolias appeals to a wide variety of people.
There are many simularities and differences in the book and movie " The
what was different in the story and movie was some of the characters. Like meg in the book she had frizzy hair, braces and glasses and in the movie she does not have frizzy hair, braces or glasses . For Charles Wallace he is 5 and not in school and in the movie he is 6 or 7 and in school. The setting for
