M. Meenatchi et al [1] provided a working model which incorporates sensors to measure parameters like body temperature, heart beat rate. A micro-controller board is used for analyzing the inputs from the patient and any abnormality felt by the patient causes the monitoring system to give an alarm. Also all the process parameters within an interval selectable by the user are recorded online. This is very useful for future analysis and review of patient’s health condition. For more versatile medical applications, this scheme can be improvised, heart beat sensors and annunciation systems, thereby making it useful in hospitals as a very efficient and dedicated patient care system.
Auscultation with a stethoscope need a professionally well-trained physician to recognise the abnormalities accurately. Moreover, Lung auscultation is a non-objective method, which depends on the experience, skill and sounds perception of the physician. To overcome the defect, researcher started to exploit computer-based lung sounds analysis system. Digital recording and analysis becomes the only reliable and quantitative way for diagnose the lung sounds. Studies on computer -based breath sounds started in the literature since 1980s.
current reality tree (CRT) that uses sufficiency logic to document the cause-effect relationships responsible for a system's current state. In regard to the second query develops another TOC logic tool, a future reality tree (FRT), to help construct and evaluate planned interventions for resolving the core conflict and improving effectiveness. The paper concludes by stating that feasibility and utility of using TOC TP logic tools helps managers of service organizations to improve their overall system performance. Kim et al. (2008) stated by drawing conclusions relative to the feasibility and utility of using TOC TP logic tools to help managers of service organizations improve their overall system performance.
[34]. A scheme of the device structure was presented in Fig 2 (a) together with the chemical structure of the organic gate insulator divinyltetramethyldisiloxane-bis (benzo-cyclobutene) (BCB) (fig 2 (b)). All the OTFTs were fabricated with top contact/bottom gate geometry in order to sense visible light. All the NBBI-TFTs were constructed on the indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass substrate. The ITO coated glass was patterned by etching with diluted HCl for
Most likely, they are admitted to a nursing home or hospital, but this is not the permanent solution for them and also an expensive way. In that case, wearable technology is playing an important role to solve this particular problem. It continuously monitors the physical activities of elder people which minimizes the risk of illness and injuries. With the help of wearable devices, they can observe their own health activities and measure, blood pressure, heart rate, calories burned etc. (Chan et al.
et al (2014) to assess the prevalence of risk factors for coronary artery disease in government employees across India, the subject population included both males and females with in age group of 20 to 60 years and the findings of the study were 4.5% of the study population had a family history of premature coronary artery disease. The overall prevalence of diabetes was 16% (5.6% were diagnosed during the study and the remaining 10.4% already were on medication for diabetes mellitus), hypertension was present in 21% of subjects; prevalence of dyslipidemia was significantly high with 45.6%. Of subject having a high total cholesterol /high density lipoprotein ratio. Overall 78.6% study subject had two or more risk factors for coronary artery disease study concluded reporting that there is a high prevalence of risk factor for coronary artery disease in the Indian urban population. Therefore study suggested there was an immediate need to initiate measures to raise awareness of these factors so that individuals at risk for coronary artery disease can be managed from developing further
All the patients who were screened for the study were 70 years or older. The methods used for diagnosis of heart failure involved individuals who exhibited typical signs of heart failure and were responsive to diuress. Radiography for pulmonary congestion was also used. Additionally, patients with heart failure who had either prior history, or congestive heart failure as a result of uncontrolled hypertension or myocardial infraction, or had been readmitted more than four times in the past were eligible. Patients who were excluded from the study were those who refused to participate, resided outside the study area, had short anticipated survival periods, planned to stay at long term care facilities or suffered from serious psychiatric conditions.
The National Family Health Survey-3 (NFHS-3) estimates that the lowest of potential STIs from the doctor (compared to India is 32.8% only 50.2%). While many strategies have tried to avoid health, physical and physical factors in the next few years, the final result is lower than estimates. These ST groups are culturally and economically diverse and the methods of overcoming their health problems are uniform and multifunctional rather than as special as possible for specialized groups. Strengthening existing human resources, bringing health services to the remote population, improving health awareness, facilitating community participation using innovative strategies, bringing about changes in the behavior of health care
The study was done on a representative sample of 630 individuals belonging to low socio-economic strata residing in rural India. This study was especially focused on low socio-economic people as these people have a higher prevalence of oral disease,12 often experience dental pain, and they frequently face financial as well as other barriers to private dental practice.13 In this study Pareek scale was utilized to measure SES of the family, which is a widely used classification for rural population in India. It is simple to implement and possess a good reliability.9 The key finding of this study is that dental pain affects a significant proportion of this population and it has forced the participants to use a number of self-care
ABSTRACT Heart failure is one of the leading causes of mortality in the world. At present, there are approximately 26 million heart failure patients worldwide (1). Heart failure is a life-threatening disease and addressing it should be treated as a global health priority. The prevalence and cost of the condition is set to rise due to Ireland’s ageing population and increases in diabetes and coronary heart disease (2). To a large extent, heart failure is a disease that is managed medically.
