Stop Animal Testing Can you imagine being an animal who is used as a test subject? Being forced to do certain things just to see results? Or how about dying due to side effects? This happens to animals everyday as a result of animal testing. Tons of animals die every year in our country and even across the globe because of animal testing. Animal testing should be stopped because testing is considered cruel, unreliable, and animals can suffer just like humans.
To begin, animal death occurs every year in the U.S. According to PETA’s article “Animal Testing 101”, Approximately 100 million animals or more suffer and die throughout the U.S. every year in harsh chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics test (PETA.org). The process of animal testing

Also animal rights are ignored when they are being used for testing (Lonestar.edu). Stephanie Liou’s article “Animal Research: The Ethics Of Animal Experimentation”, states that people believe animals do have moral status (Web.Stanford.edu). The article also states that animals and humans are similar because both can feel pain and pleasure so animals should have the same moral status and treatment (Web.Stanford.edu). As a result, animals should be treated equally just like humans and thereare certain laws involved in animal testing. According to the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s article “Animal Testing and the Law”, “Legal test include burning, poisoning, starving, forced smoking, mutilating, etc” (aldf.org). Also the Department Of Defense does not have to be checked by the USDA and labs do not need to report non-AWA protected animals (aldf.org). In fact “When a facility is found deficient, the OLAW takes little action” (aldf. org). Furthermore, there are several drug stores that sell animal free tested products. Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart sells non- cruelty free products (Crueltyfreekitty.com).
While some people believe that using animals in research is cruel others feel that it is important and that humans can benefit from it. Manchester Evening News’s article “For and against: Animal testing” states “Many medical

According to PETA’s article “Alternatives To Animal Testing”, other methods to test products would be in vitro, advanced computer- modeling techniques, and studies with human volunteers (PETA.org). Therefore, animal testing could end because researchers have other methods to test their products.
Animal testing must end because it is cruel to animals, unreliable, and animals can suffer just like humans. There are several ways people can get involved to help end animal testing. One way would be to join the European Coalition to End Animal Experiment or the ECEAE. This group has been advocating to end animal testing for 25 years. Throughout the years, they have ended testing for cosmetics in EU and acknowledged cruelty-free standards in cosmetics
Today animal testing should be outlawed. Animal testing should be outlawed because it is cruel, it is not beneficial, and because there are other testing methods that are more accurate, Animal testing is considered animal abuse as many innocent animals are being tortured in labs. Many companies use animals to test their products nevertheless, people could be supporting animal testing without even knowing. When one is picking out shampoo or makeup, one should always stop and read the labels. Despite the steady growth of animal testing, it can be stopped by awareness and not supporting companies that test on animals.
Animal testing is cruel and uncalled for, all animals deserve to live a long painless life and should not be tested upon. Companies test any animal they can get there hands on dogs, cats, mice, rats, reptiles, even monkeys. They put the animals in a cage with no holes no bars and “...they expose them with deadly chemicals the animals are forced to breathe in, or they put the animal in a restraint device, sometimes they even drill holes into their skull...” www.peta.org says. These animals they test never get to see the light of day or breath fresh air they sit and stay having no choice but to take the abuse. Abuse that they shouldn’t have to face cause they did nothing wrong infact it was the people who did wrong.
Animal testing is cruel, unjust, and wasteful, and it needs to stop. It is used to test cosmetics, to gain scientific knowledge, and for tests in schools. The Humane Society states that animal testing is tests performed on live animals for basic biology, medicinal, safety, or health research. Even small procedures have the capabilities to cause the animal high stress or discomfort. Some animals are used in future experiments, but most are killed soon after the tests.
Animal testing has been used by scientists to test drugs and makeup products for many years. They have been kept in labs, poked, prodded at, observed, forced to inhale, eat, and wear substances that have killed them. Millions of animals have died each year because of this testing, and it needs to be stopped. Animal testing should not be continued because it is ineffective, it wastes lives, and is inhumane. Animal testing needs to be discontinued because it is ineffective.
Animal testing is defined as “the use of non-human animals in research and development projects, especially for purposes of determining the safety of substances such as foods or drugs” (Dictionary.com). This experimentation has been practiced since around 500 BCE, and has allowed the human race to discover many things that otherwise would have not been discovered (ProCon). The use of animal testing has increased, due to its many necessary benefits, such as: helping form vaccinations and uncovering new diseases in the specific species being tested on (AALAS). However, many animal activist groups such as, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), have spoken out against the issue. These groups claim animal testing to be “inhumane”
“Hey mom can you make some chicken tonight? No, son remember our government enacted the new animal bill of rights.¨ this is a conversation that one would not want to partake in because of how absurd soundsWell we are not far from a day where one would be participating in such a conversation due to the fact that people are trying to approve an Animal Bill of Rights. The Animal Bill of Rights would cause a lot of controversy and problems in the future. Animals do not deserve an Animal Bill of Rights due to the fact that: animals are a large source of our food, animals are needed to apply research based tests on, and lastly the Animal Bill of Rights should not dictate how we treat the pets that we own Humans have interacted with animals for years, but this Animal Bill of Rights will change the way we interact with them.. A common
Animals in Research and Testing According to PETA, the animals who are in research and testing “shake and cower in fear whenever someone walks past their cages and their blood pressure spikes drastically. After enduring lives of pain, loneliness and terror, almost all of them will be killed,” (“Animal Testing 101”). Animal-testing is the use of non-human animals in research and development projects, especially for purposes of determining the safety of substances, such as foods, beauty products, and/or drugs. Although animal research plays a crucial role in experiments focused on disease treatments and preventions, it is cruel, inhumane, and should be stopped. This is an act that should be banned and prohibited in all states and countries
Animals are subjected to excruciating experiments daily. Countries such as Israel and India have stopped animal testing as well as Britain. “…countless animals are experimented on and then killed…” (Murnaghan 1). Animals are subjected to confined rooms all of their lives, used in painful experiments and then disposed of as if they are an inanimate object.
Did you know over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in US labs every year? Innocent animals are torched and severely hurt for the safety of humans. They do not have a voice to speak, so we must help them. Animal testing is totally immoral, it is very time-consuming, expensive, and it can even end up killing the animal. Animal testing is very cruel and immoral.
Since animal testing is cruel, inhumane, and alternative testing methods now exist, we should discontinue animal testing once and for all. For these reasons, animals should not be used in research or to test the safety of human products. To begin with, animal testing is cruel, inhumane and it violates animals’ rights. The USDA reported that in 2016, 71,370 animals suffered pain during experiments while being given no anesthesia at all for relief.
Imagine an enraged animal rights activist charging toward a scientist in a white lab coat, desperate to free the little mice that are being used as test subjects. Although comical, this scene may be quite accurate when describing the passion that animal lovers have when it comes to the touchy subject of animal testing. For centuries, animal testing has been used in the medical research field, however many are now beginning to question whether it is ethical. Millions of animals are killed per year due to animal testing, so is this practice worth banning? Animal testing is a controversial subject, with supporters pointing out the medical advances that have stemmed from animal research and animal rights activists declaring it cruel and immoral.
Animal Testing Should Be Banned Animal testing also known animal experimentation is a process whereby non-human animals are used to conduct experiments. There has been an increase of animal testing in the field of biomedical research. Due to this, animal testing has become an extreme controversial topic that has created a division among different groups, of those who are supporting the process and those who are opposing. Therefore, there are ongoing debates on whether animal testing should go on or it should be banned. Some groups argue it is ethical, while others insist that the process is unethical, and there is a last group advocating for alternatives in the testing other than the use of animals.
Science researches believe that products which have been tested on animals will make humans’ life better. However, the main concern on this issue is that animals are suffering from unnecessary pain. Animals are mostly exposed to radiation, forced to inhale poisonous gases and injected with harmful substances prior to the experiment. Thus, animal testing should be banned because it is cruel, the result is unreliable and expensive.
Animals are being tested with cosmetics. There is no justifiable right to test cosmetics on an animal just to beautify ourselves. Cosmetic testing makes sure a person does not get harmed by the product. If the product is too toxic, it could affect their skin or eyes. Food production is another reason animals are being tested.
Moreover, experiments on animals cannot fully predict the human response to some kind of drugs or products. Animal experiments are cruel to animals no matter how they are done. Their rights are violated when they are used in a research because they are not given a choice. Animal testing can be painful and it can cause permanent damage or death. A big number of animals die in lethal doses tests every year in the united states.
