Introduction:
The British civilization consisted of many countries including my own which is Bahrain; the kingdom of Bahrain was declared and recognized as an independent country in 1913 after the signing of the British treaty. However, it was still under the protection of the British. Below I will discuss how this action and how it impacted the kingdom in its trade and it made use of its strategic location. Discussing this topic, I plan to engage with friends and family to further expand my knowledge and I will also mention what I have learnt throughout this personal research.
Historical changes between 1800s to late 1900s:

I found it refreshing to know that the hard times that the previous generations experienced in my country paid off by resulting in a massive positive impact in the kingdom’s development. I agree with the decision to remove Charles Belgrave from the country to avoid further external influence, which might have resulted in the demise of the country. What I found to be shocking is that the outcomes of the invasion resulted in assisting Bahrain in the prevention of wars, ending slavery and the escalation of the economic situation. The British culture has influenced Bahrain positively in many ways such as, diversity and adapting advanced educational system. This influenced the governmental sectors by issuing a parliament consisting of different divisions, tackling issues within the community that in my opinion has proved to be effective in many ways. This helped me to expand my knowledge and developing my interests by fulfilling the missing …show more content…
The British Empire left many influences within the countries they were involved in by engraving traits within the communities they have entered. One of the greatest influences other than the language is perhaps the architectural designs that are still being used in the present day. I feel this resulted in helping people by understanding other cultures and opening their eyes towards diversity. In addition, this may have been one of the reasons that Bahrain is now the freest country in the Middle East. Even though there might have been some issues between the two countries in the past, they have managed to maintain a strong bond and expand in their foreign relations beyond the two countries. This made me think of the impact it had on my life and how it made my generation become advanced in the educational sector and knowledge about the foreign influences that have significantly improved our country’s standard of
The British improved and modernized India which formed their efficiency that they have today. They established railroads and bridges so people can travel thru their country easier. The British also ingrained a fair trading system between India and British. Some may claim that it was not fair because the Indian textiles were getting sold less and less. From 1790 and so on the sales of Indian textiles progressively declined (Doc. 6).
Prior to the voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1492, there were multiple empires growing to astonishing amounts of power on different sides of the earth. In the undiscovered Western Hemisphere, the great empire of the Aztecs were growing to considerable size and power; single handily controlling regional trade. In the highly active Eastern Hampshire, the powerful empire of Songhai was quickly becoming one of the strongest and wealthiest West African empires in history. The success of these empires came from a strong combination of historic prospectives, but those which helped define their legacies were a combination of: physical, capital, state action and ideas. Through analyzing these perspectives, there is a considerable finding that there are many similarities and differences between each empire that account for many years of regional power.
They created charters that gave Britain the right to have trading monopolies and also gave power to make war and govern the people. Gradually Britain was gaining power within the country, and much of the trade in cotton textile. Although they were still heavily dependent on the elite groups within the Indian society like the Brahmins, and ranis(the princesses). They even took steps to secure trading
“Faith and the Presidency: From George Washington to George W. Bush” was written by Gary Scott Smith, the book goes in depth about how presidencies brought religion to America and its government. This book was written to be read by students and scholars looking to further their knowledge about the presidents’ religious views and how they used their views in office. Gary Scott Smith is currently the chair and professor of history at Grove City College, were he graduated from in 1972 with a bachelor’s in art in Psychology. They set in motion each nation’s interdependence on one another. Lives were enriched with new nutritional items, immunity to epidemic-inducing illnesses, and cultural diversity. Undoubtedly, one of the most important to our personal and emotional growth was the shared cultures and ways of life. I believe it helped, even though it may have taken awhile in some cases, for humans to appreciate ways different than their own, and to understand that diversity can only contribute to success. Where one group may have been clueless, the other may have had advantages to contribute and be of assistance, and share invaluable products and information.

The Persian Empire was the most powerful empire of its time with two great rulers. These two rulers were Cyrus II and Darius III. Which ruled the Persian Empire with great force of action but also with the understanding of others when it was needed and there culture. Now which leads me to say that I believe the best ruler in my eyes was the founder of the Persian Empire which is Cyrus the Great because he understood his opponents.
The Ottoman and Mughal empires both used Islam in their culture, economy, wars, and society. It influenced their art, the way they treated non-Muslims, their motivations for war. It is important to note that both empires were influenced differently by their majority religion. However, both the Ottomans and Mughals were heavily influenced as Islam was a major part of everyday life from the art to the bureaucracy.

Reading and analyzing primary sources are one of the methods that provide a window into the past in order to determine the significant, reliability, and make a viable interpretation in the historical events. The book “Syrian Yankee” is considered one of the primary sources that provide a perspective to the story of an Arab immigrant from Syria at the beginning of 20th century. In this essay, a chapter from this book, “My Home My Native Land,” will be analyzed and critically put in its historical contexts. The author of this book is Salom Rizk. He was an Arab American, who immigrated to the United States of America.
The main political effects the Persian empires had were the idea of cultural and religious tolerance. Through these ideas, leaders understood how important and strategic it is to keep the people from rebelling by accepting their culture and feigning interest. These new ideas built very large empires, as was the situation with Alexander the Great. The empires that housed these philosophies prospered
There was a lot of controversy on whether the intentions of the British was helpful or harmful. When the British established Imperialism in both Africa and India, it led to poverty and starvation of the citizens. These hardships
The Gulf War- A Realist Perspective Introduction Persian Gulf War, also called Gulf War (1990–91), was an international conflict that was triggered by Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. Iraq’s leader, Saddam Hussein, ordered the invasion and occupation of Kuwait with the apparent aim of • acquiring that nation’s large oil reserves, • canceling a large debt Iraq owed Kuwait, • and expanding Iraqi power in the region. If Saddam were successful in capturing Kuwait, he would be considered the Supreme Leader of the Oil rich area. But it was not only a question of oil; territory was another relevant issue in Saddam’s agenda. He wanted to gain access of an old disputed territory, Kuwait.
The British colonization started in 1882 the main essence of the colonization was to control the maritime as Egypt had an central location in the world connecting the western world with the eastern hence from an economical standpoint Egypt was very important as it had the Suez canal at that time so by colonizing Egypt the British government would put its hands on the marine trade ins coming from the Americas and Europe going to India, china and the far east another economic reason was that Egypt at that time was the biggest producer of cotton and at that time cotton was s variable at the international trade from the cultural perspective the influence of the British colonization was very intense to the Egyptian traditions as at that time the food and beverage and bars outlets have flourished in Egypt thus changing the scene from local coffee shops to more upscale outlets which was new to the Egyptian culture also the expansion of English language as a second language was a mandate for allot of Egyptians to learn and understand in order to communicate with the colonizer other habits were acquired such as the European architecture in buildings the clothing fission and some other cultural influences with regards to the rights of women that has changed the scene in Egyptian culture especially that women in the old days were considered inferior during this time the strength of a nation was determined by the number of colonies that thy had control on as the strength of any nation
Although it is important to learn new things, the new material learned is not as important as the process of learning itself. In the process of learning, one’s mind is transformed and engaged.
