Identification of the Model From a communication perspective, it is hypothesized that strategy communication has a positive impact on organizational performance. The main variables of interest for this study are (BSC) strategy communication as the independent and organizational performance as the dependent variable. On one hand, strategy communication refers to a selective and planned program of communication intervention in the form of employee training on BSC concepts and principles and subsequent involvement in the actual scorecard development and implementation process (Beryl, 2015). Strategy Communication will be operationalized using three factors: valid messages; support of organizational culture; and, knowledge sharing as described…show more content…
On one hand, employee demographic, such as age, gender, educational attainment and length of service, are theorized to be key factors that determine employee level of support and perception of the organizational performance (e.g., Qi, 2005; Li, et al. 2008). On the other hand, employee motivation, operationalized as consisting of the factors relative performance evaluation, meaningful reward/penalty, appropriate benchmark, had been hypothesized to be positively affected by strategy communication that in turn effect perception of organizational performance (e.g., Malina & Selto, 2001). The above-mentioned operationalization of the Employee Demographic and Employee Motivation variables will be used in the proposed…show more content…
