Well our race is a culture in which shapes us; it shapes our identity and influences our behavior. Tom saying was that our country is more diverse than any time in the past, and that is correct in my opinion. Our people of the United States represent a strong of different ethnic groups. I look at this scenario as a strength. Because each culture provides an own special and irreplaceable contribution to our understanding of America today. So basically without the different of mixture of religious, race, and different cultures, America would not be the nation that it is today. So they can have a more widely spread in racially and ethnically diverse localities. The economic data clearly shows that our nation, extensions, and our workforce has grown to become increasingly more diverse. Also, as a racial and ethnic minorities make up a large portion of the population. More women continue to enter the workforce, and as gay and transgender individuals, as well as people with disabilities, continue to play a vital role in growing our economy. Basically, our future depends on the ability of our society to talk with one another, to reach mutual understanding, and realize and that there is strength in diversity. On the other hand, the weaknesses would be that cultural diversity includes language barriers, social tension, and civic disengagement. It should be noted that these are not reasons to avoid diversity, but rather, factors to keep in mind as society heads toward a more diverse future. These are the main problems opposing against the strengths, because language barriers would make governments around the world require the prospective immigrants learn their country’s official language. Social tension could cause problems for cultures since the different economic differences; would lead to hunkering down in their homes instead of interacting with their neighbors. Not to mention, the civic disengagement could occur during a diverse communities than in a relatively environment. This effect is most likely to be observed when an immigrants are systematically placed at an economic disadvantage, whether due to immigration policy or workplace
