If you want good rhythm you have to listen to the beat that everyone else is going and you pay attention to your notes and the music. The last thing I believe was good was intonation. To be in tune I had to tighten my ambchur I also had to firm up on certain notes. I believe that these thing where great but they were not perfect. After all I think I did well on certain things, and now you know what those things were.

Making me put forth more attention to the main focus point. Making me want whatever it may be they are presenting to me. I was never the perfect student, nor was I always perfectly behaved. I understand that there are more people like this, that is why I strive to help others in achieving their own personal goals. Spending time at school tutoring sessions, and the school band program has allowed me to help people in the way that I strive to. I am able to help people become better at a school subject that they may be struggling with, or even teach someone how to play certain type of percussion instrument that they may not have known how to play. I want to be able to look back on those experiences and know that I may have inspired someone to help others in the same way that I did for them.
You learn all different types of important skills like how to read sheet music, how to multitask, gain impressive hand-eye coordination, and how to cooperate with people. Playing a musical instrument makes you more successful in your career. Music teaches skills that you use in school and in work. Music teaches discipline. When learning a new song you have to work on the hard parts over and over to get them right. You also have to listen to the band director.
We all work so hard to create art, or achieve excellence in sports and academics that the least we could do for our community members is help to facilitate this work. Ushering is just one of the many ways that we can help out our other community members. How can you keep this experience alive? I can keep this experience alive by ushering for other perofrmances and continuing to support the performing arts program. I hope that I can usher for other performances during my time at The Bishop 's School.
I will make the line a learning experience, but also entertaining at the same time. If someone has an idea or visual then we will try it and maybe slightly change it if it is too difficult. I will never leave someone out of the visual because it makes that individual left out, it makes them feel less important. Drum line’s help keep the time for the band so we need to be on tempo as much as possible,
I can now play notes higher than I ever could before the musical, leaving me with a hunger for more challenging music. I taught myself to play at fast tempos with little time to think about what I am playing. The latter musical lesson can be applied to life as well. Performing in the musical helped me learn to make decisions quickly. It was stressful at first, but with plenty of practice and not backing down, I was able to achieve my goal and be a part of a great show.
There are other ways you can learn in the classroom, you can learn from the environment that is around you. This process is known as enculturation and it can affect and even enhance learning. Repetition is what really affects someone in a culture. By seeing, hearing, and doing things over and over they start to become part of who you are. From the class I observed I noticed that the teacher often used repetition as the way to get the students to learn and get the correct answer.
