Our Founding Fathers were merely men, but they utilized their strengths and conquered their weaknesses to propel themselves into godlike statuses that molded each and every one of them into prominent historical figures. Katori Hall explained this perfectly when she said “We expect our leaders to be godlike. But I feel that when people try to sanctify leadership it puts it out of the realm of regular people. And that’s where the greatest leaders come from – from the people.” Our Founding Fathers harnessed their personal strengths and weaknesses, but this alone wasn’t enough to help them to succeed. They exploited the assistance of anonymous individuals to aid them in acquiring these statuses and their success. In addition, these unfamiliar historical individuals played a critical part in the Revolutionary War from collaborating with the Founding Fathers, to raising the morale of the soldiers of the thirteen colonies through speeches, and even using written…show more content…
Courage being the forefront of their strengths, showed the bravery of the Founding Fathers before the war had even begun by standing strongly behand their thoughts, beliefs and ideas to the point it caused turmoil between them and Britain, even though the outcome of their actions was obscured to them at the time. Courage may have been the front-runner for the founding fathers’ strengths, but their intellectual power reigns supreme as their greatest asset. The ability they had to think openly, freely and critically about topics such as freedom, life and politics becomes the founding fathers most prized possession and Britain’s worst adversary.
