They also agreed that windmills are capable of providing enough electricity for an entire community, have less operating expenses than other generating technologies. Most of the …show more content…

One of the examples of the weaknesses of windmills is that it’s not very sustainable throughout all conditions which means that it can have its defects and cannot withstand any powerful and devastating calamities. Windmills also take time to be constructed due to the fact that windmills should be about one hundred (100) feet high. It also needs to be durable enough to sustain any weather conditions. The materials are also expensive and difficult to attach such as the rotors being large and the generators being connected to the power lines. These are one of the reasons why windmills take time to be constructed. The windmills also occupy plenty of space for its construction. Unexpectedly, the windmills can increase the number of mortality rates of birds when it collides with the blades. Other than the weaknesses are the windmills strengths. One of the examples of its strengths is that if windmills are constructed properly, it can last for several decades or a lifetime. It can sustain typhoons if built with the right materials and components that it needs. The windmills can also be used as a tourist attraction due to the fact that windmills are pleasing to the eye and awe striking. The windmills can also measure different wind speeds and wind density because of its rotor blades. Unlike like the solar panels, hydroelectric power plants, and other generating technologies, windmills have fewer construction expenses. The windmills …show more content…
