Research from The Balance suggests that work hours and anxiety contribute to the decline of officers health. Because their occupation already threatens their life, it makes the unknown risks much more stressful. Likewise, their irregular work hours, specifically unplanned shifts, promote unhealthy sleeping schedules which can cause officers to be tired on the job. All of these problems began to produce awful exercise and eating patterns which become hard for deputies to cope with while working (Roufa). Considering the fact that Jerome maintained two other jobs, five children, and other health issues at the same time, these stresses became extremely prevalent for him.
I interviewed Dr. Lee Weidauer; he has a Ph.D. in nutrition, exercise, and food science, a master’s of science in exercise science, and a Bachelor’s of science in athletic training all from South Dakota State University. He is an assistant professor. His certifications and professional memberships include ATC, ACSM, and American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. When he was considering the career, what he wanted most was to help people.

Career in Athletic Training Athletic trainers are highly qualified health professionals who are trained in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity. (“Explore Health Careers” 2015) Usually when you hear Athletic Trainer, you may think that all they do is sit around and wrap ankles. But there is actually more to this job, including an abundance of responsibilities. I am interested in pursuing a career in athletic training because i get to help athletes recover, and/or prevent injury so that they can continue to enjoy the game.
My Career Goals: Athletic Training Outlined Any sports fanatic has heard about Athletic Trainers. Anyone who has watched, or has been to a sporting event, has seen the person who runs out and tends to the injured athlete on the field. That person is the team’s Athletic Trainer. While being strong and having skills are definitely needed to be a great sports player or succeed in keeping your body healthy and strong, it goes much deeper than that.
Moreover, at this point physical activities or exercises definitely creates large positive impacts because of results that will be seen due to consistency. It may help bring positive self images back into that person and which can also bring confidence. As an evidence, Anne Moore, a swim athlete, who gained excessive weight after not participating in any physical activities brought her emotions down on a daily basis. Until one day, her own sister declared the truth that she did not look good anymore and it basically sparked the engine for a change. After consistently exercising for a year, Moore lost weight and became the person who she was before and became more happy with herself as she lost two dress sizes down and ten percent of body
The guardian of health, it is what I think of athletic trainer. During clinical study in college, I accompanied athletes been through recovery processes, educated athletes methods to keep themselves from injuries, and experienced the greatest excitement with athletes when they achieved their incredible accomplishment. Attracted by every piece of this meaningful profession, I have chosen it as my career. My acquaintance with athletic training was in high school when I got a rotator cuff strain by playing baseball. While seeing numerous time of doctor, it had never fully recovered.
Athletic Training is practiced by athletic trainers. Athletic trainers treat and prevent injuries that are most of the time caused by athletic involvement. In the future Marsha would like to be an Athletic Trainer for The University of Wilmington. She wants to help athletes play to their best ability by ensuring the prevention to injuries and giving them immediate care.
I became much more of a positive thinker and also much more confident and social. I had never experienced this feeling before and I felt like a new person. Although many talk of fitness as only a physical change it is also very beneficial for your mind and changes the way you perceive things. Weightlifting can have an overall positive impact on your life. I felt as if I had finally broken out of my shell and started enjoying life more.
As you know, exercise is very important for your physical health. Exercising regularly helps keep your heart healthy, lowers your risk for type 2 diabetes as well as some cancers, and helps you get stronger muscles and bones.
