With this understanding, I always framed and rendered my life towards predetermined goals. I got enrolled in Bachelors of engineering program in civil engineering in C. K. Pithawalla College of Engineering & Technology, Surat which is rated among one of the best engineering colleges in Gujarat, India. Once I secured admission in one of the most contentious and meticulous civil engineering programs in India, I found civil engineering even more compelling and demanding than what I had thought of it. Right from the second year, my objective was to gain knowledge and understand the subject thoroughly rather than just scoring grades. I was unable to score decent grades till my 4th semester but then once I understood my goal, I scored and improved with huge margin from third year.
They discuss many things for example: interesting structure concepts or past jobs and experiences that they've had working in their fields. Since I am going to major in architecture I find it interesting to learn about new information regarding this topic. I constantly ask the questions on their past, current, or even future projects. I enjoy looking at my brothers architectural models and have discussions about them, as my brother asks for advice, my father and I critique his work. We’ve analyzed many of my brother projects and models including a firefighter station, apartment complex, one and two story houses, and even his experimental models where he plays with many structure concepts.
“You need to go one step ahead” a constant thought that incited me to aim/experience/ go to/ take up higher education. Right from the school days the experiences, knowledge and the learnings have strongly reinforced my career goals. “Growth is the most important career goal that a person must look into” I believe. Hence/So in order to unceasingly grow in my line of work and to serve the society in the best possible way, I desire to pursue my graduate education in electrical. The fact that there are so many engineers in my family, had inspired me to take up electrical engineering.
Personal Statement “ Professional skills is the basic requirement for you to survive; but if you would like to step further, you should learn how to be qualified manager, or at least, you should become a engineer with good manage capacity.” That is the words my line manager told me at a construction site during my first internship. At present, the elaborate labor division have set invisible barriers between each industries, especially in the construction filed, which requires a higher level of cooperation when dealing with complex construction tasks. Therefore, the Project Management, which can provide me with the advanced management skills, is the ideal program for me. It was during my experience at the Street Dancing Club that I discovered
A unique quality that I possess is that I have seen the construction of several homes and subdivisions from scratch by going to work with my dad, who is a contractor for MHI Partners and Builders. I have witness all the steps taken in the building of a new home, from the laying of the foundation to the very last step which is landscaping. All of this has created a growing passion for civil engineering with in me. This will be my second time that I apply to Texas A&M. I believe my SAT were the reason for my decline, but since then I have applied my since in college and worked hard to get good grades and that is why I have a 3.7 G.P.A.
I have grown up watching “Discovery and National Geography channel” programs showing how Engineer’s solving inscrutable problems encountered during the construction of High rise buildings such as “Taipei World Financial Centre “or projects like “Rebuilding New York City 's Subway”. It made me mesmerized how we drive connections from nature to engineer these gravity deifying structures and how these modern structures are changing the face of earth. This sparked a wave of renewed curiosity and interest in understanding the engineering related to structure’s and I studied tenaciously to take Civil Engineering as under-graduate major. At the very outset of my undergraduate program, I formulated a plan for my academic development, outlining the objectives that I must achieve at different stages of the program. With due efforts, I have attained almost all of them.
Introduction: The term 'advanced development technology ' in construction industry covers an extensive variety of present day techniques and practices that envelop the most recent improvements in materials technology, design methodology, amount studying, offices management, administrations, structural examination and design, and management skills used in construction industry. Technological advancements in different fields such as medical industry, business industry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering etc. have brought many positive impacts. Fusing advanced development technology into construction industry can expand levels of value, proficiency, safety, maintainability and incentive for money. The advanced technologies in construction industry are very useful for all type of small and large scale construction projects.
The training of civil engineering is one example of how the tools and teaching process have improved with new technology. For example, in the past civil engineering began with the students drawing by hand the plans and indicating the measurements and specifications needed to design and construct public and private works on paper. Today, civil engineering students learn how to use different design software to design, improve or build structures. In the early 1900s, students graduating from engineering programs were very well trained for their specific discipline, but lacked the communication skills and experience in the field to properly use their knowledge. “New graduates were technically well prepared but lacked the professional skills for success in a competitive, innovative, global marketplace.” (Lattuca) Due to the ongoing war effort of the time period, most engineers went into government and military positions.
Every human being has their own career aspirations and mine is to be a Electrical engineer, a dream that I held ever since I was in school due to my deep interest in technical fields such as electrical and electronics. Although, electrical engineer is a difficult career to achieve because it have many obstacles and challenges to be met, but I am sure that I am able to make full preparations for the realization of my dreams. The main preparation I need to prepare is knowledge. Knowledge in Electrical engineering is essential in order for me to become a successful engineer as I am required to be able to identify, study and solve the problem that I encountered in implementing the knowledge that I have gained in university. For example, my experience as a student already proven to me that theoretical knowledge I learned in class like structures and machinery, engineering, circuit theory and software not only important for the exams, but it is also important for me to implement it during my troubleshooting analysis so that machine problem might be solved at the required set of time.
My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family. With the internship that I would get at Purdue NorthWest, they would be able to help my find I job that I would like to do. This job would be able to help me get money so that I can start a family. My final future goal would be to go back to college to get my Masters Degree in engineering. As technology advances into the future, I would need to go back to college to update myself with the new technology.
