The first one is that, I believe in the servant leadership philosophy. Personally, I put more value in serving rather than leading. I think leading will natural come, when you are serving others. Because most people will be inspired or influenced to follow you when you serve or help them. That is why I make sure that I engage in different volunteer works, in which I am able to serve without expecting any reward.

NCOs are primarily responsible for maintaining and enforcing Army standards and personal standards of conduct in their subordinates.
He shared this leadership style has been effective for him building rapport, respect, and camaraderie amongst his subordinates. He says the best way to enter a team is to learn the team you are leading before you commit to one style of leadership. Inquire the needs of the men and women and establish the leadership that is effective for you. Don’t be tied down by have one style and being the definition of a traditional leader. Like most things, we adapt and sometimes fall into different areas of leadership as needed.

According to Greenleaf, servant leadership by definition, states that the leader has a need to serve others with the goal that they can continue to create themselves and along these lines perform to address the organization’s needs. The person who chooses to lead first, maybe on account of a need to alleviate an uncommon power drive or to procure material belonging, may make the decision to serve later after self leadership is established. Servant leaders see themselves as servants first then the desire to lead comes next. So for them leading becomes a way to serve. In hopes that soon those servants will turn into servant leaders themselves to help other people within the association which again enables the association to perform efficiently
Heading to my new assignment and into a work center where I can lead and encourage team dynamics, the use of team roles with help my subordinates and I mesh and accomplish the goals or tasks set before us. Once I arrive and meet my team, after feedback, and a short get to know period the application of team roles will take place. Knowing who on my team demonstrate the traits of creators, advancers, refiners, executors and flexors I can knowingly place them into positions where they can thrive and not only further their career but the mission. A common challenge we face in security forces faces is the morale issue.
To provide the best possible care for those I support, I need to be able to think about and assess what I do and the way I do my work and to recognize my strengths and weak point. Also to reflect and evaluate areas for improvement. Week two talks about leadership qualities. Leadership is how an individual influences another individual or groups to achieve a common purpose. For a leader to achieve its set purpose or vision towards individual, organization, or a group, influence is the aim. Influence, therefore is the ability to direct or indirect manipulation to get others to act or respond in accordance to a leader’s want or desires. When a leader leads, the leader will often times have the people he or she is leading conform to his or her ways of doing things or at least agrees with the leader, which in this case regard as being obedience.
I would like to start by identifying the unique environment that is Korea and the opportunities here at Camp Humphreys. We will be the best at what we do. I want us to influence the behaviors and attitudes through out our Squads and Teams. Motivation is key, the discipline that we are charged to bestow within our ranks can be resolved with our vast experience in the Army. Our ethics and values will further change the lives of the Soldiers that we train, and mentor.

Boy Scouts has taught me many skills and truths for life, but no skill has had as much impact as servant leadership---the ability to gain the trust of those around you by helping them. Being active and a leader in a group happens naturally now; after years of following, I find myself leading my friends. Whether it was because of being a Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) and Eagle Scout in my troop or, I have drawn in new friends who have grown to look to me as a leader. At the beginning of this school year I drew in many new friends who look to me as a leader. This year I was fulltime dual enrolled at the University of North Georgia which gave me the opportunity to make new friends.
