I believe the fact that the death of his wife was so sudden that he is having a hard time dealing with it. Overall depends on what you go through and how well you deal with it. One way is like the way you feel about life. The husbands feelings are all over the place this is not good for the man’s health. The man is sad because he lost his beloved wife.
Loss is a very sad topic, it makes people think about death. It mostly is about loosing .someone, such as a loved one. Loss in Gilgamesh is very direct, such as the loss of Enkidu. Not only there is loss of people, but there is also loss of objects. In Gilgamesh, the loss of an object is the loss of the plant, which was going to be used to become immortal.
At the time he wasn’t only mourning the death of Annabel Lee but also the death of his wife a few years back which is the reason that he wrote The Raven. Learning about how all of the people that he loved, and cared for died will show just about anyone that it was not an easy life for Poe. A critic once said that Poe wrote and knew that any type of love had to come with loss (Kennedy). This showed a lot about Poe’s life as everyone that he loved he actually did lose. This made it a lonely life that made him very depressed.
In both works, the soldiers set aside their morals to overcome the horrors of war such as killing a man. This challenges their emotional endurance and has negative consequences on their mental disposition. Paul Bäumer, the protagonist in All Quiet on the Western Front, is put in a situation where he must suspend his ethics otherwise his supposed enemy, Gérard Duval, will murder him. This is the first time Paul has killed with his own hands, and “every gasp [of the enemy] lays [Paul’s] heart bare” (Remarque 221). He feels instant regret for his actions, and he “would give much if [Duval] would but stay alive” (Remarque 221).
Which causes sadness/depression for family/really close friends. When someone loses somebody special, they would be mournful and/or distressed. Which can lead to depression or revenge, on the person who killed the one close to them. The revenge could be the slaughtering of people close to them, or kill them. This has a 50% chance of happening, it may or may not happen though.
Character Analysis: “The Most Dangerous Game” The main reason I chose the antagonist in “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell is that there is a lot of bad features about General Zaroff, which I want to figure out. I‘m studying three traits about General Zaroff, the three traits I picked are Heartless, Smart, and unfair. “The Most Dangerous Game” is about a Russian hunter, who got bored with hunting animals. One trait is heartless because General Zaroff didn’t care for Ivan, and he treated Ivan like he was an object to be used. General Zaroff still didn’t care for Ivan, after he took his life to save General Zaroff.
Death is something that occurs often in a war due to the violence and dangerous areas. Everyone takes on the thought of someone dying in different ways, whether they maintained a close relationship with the person or not guilt could become an instant reaction of the persons' death because of a feeling of maybe being responsible for the death that occurred. The thought of maybe being responsible for one of the soldiers that you have spent day night serving with could leave an enormous amount of guilt in one person. When witnessing a death or anything traumatic it is easy to blame someone else or even yourself for the tragic accident. Multiple characters in the book The Things They Carried demonstrated the guilt and responsibility of another
A very dependent person from her family, but for the main part from her father. Imagine that you receive the news that your father was killed and you are specially dependen from that person. Now imagine that the person that killed your father was the person you are truly in love with. When Ophelia knew that Hamlet had killed Polonius she turned insane. Losing a parent can turn anyone insane especially if it was killed by a special person from you.
Why is it that throughout history killing and death affects people differently? Most people have different motives for killing animals or other people. Some kill for defense, others kill for food/survival, and others kill for sport. Whatever the reason is for killing, there is always a motive behind it. Sometimes the people that kill regret what they have done and wish they could go back and undo everything they did.
In the story, Mr. Wilson was devastated when Myrtle was murdered, he eventually seeks after revenge which results in Gatsby's death. This shows that emotions without self control can be extremely dangerous and cause harm. Second, Myrtle, who wanted Tom to leave his wife Daisy so they could be together,
For example, if a family member were to see their loved one dying in a newspaper article they would be very sad and offended. Some might even get angry and start something with the people who posted it. Another reason it could be bad is if a child stumbled upon it. If they were seeing someone die and they recognized the face they would surely be affected in many ways. If that child say it they might also end up thinking it is nothing and then they would try to mimic it on someone playfully.
The author makes it seems as if Fortunato is a bad guy especially because he’s trying to kill him to find out later Montressor was crazy. 5. A theme statement for “The Cask of Amontillado” is to encourage readers that revenge doesn’t get you anywhere because after it done you’ll have a strong feeling of regret. In the short story Montressor kills his friend and it wasn’t worth it at the end of the day because he started feeling
Antipitar may have had a reason to kill Alexander the Great as, “Alexander sent orders for [Antipitar] to surrender his post and report to Babylon.” Antipater was not very happy with Alexander the Great for this decision as well as killing one of his companions Cleitus. Antipitar saw an opportunity to poison the great Alexander as he was at his weakest point. Antipitar then collected the poison from the styx river and made a plan to kill Alexander the Great. After he collected the poison, “Antipater sent with his son a draught toxic water that was collected from the legendary river Styx.” Antipater sent his son to a party that Alexander the Great had to attend. Even with his fever Alexander the Great was told he had to attend a party and continued to drink.
The decision to punish Antigone he sees was not worth the death of his family. To conclude, Creon 's pride was his hamartia in many ways. It causes him to make decisions he wishes he didn 't. It leads him to do things that he does not actually want to do. Most importantly it leads to the death of three of his family members.
Euthanasia literally means good death. However in our society euthanasia is intentionally ending a life in order to relieve suffering or pain. There are two ways to put people to death you either do it with their will or against their will. if you put someone to death against their will we usually call it murder. But if I say “I’m feeling terrible kill me” would you help me to die?.so now we have euthanasia defined and assistant suicide and all these different terms very very confusing to the public because the public generally says “if I am in great pain and I am terminally ill and I am going to die soon why can’t I accelerate or make ease of my death?”.
