Young love can be thrilling but will contribute to the alienation of the two . Two lovers and a heir to their families share a forbidden love and take their lives over two feudal families with generations of animosity. This forbidden love leads to the suicidal tragedy of Romeo & Juliet. The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet dramatizes obsessive love with no bounds. More than a play, it functions as a parable of reckless love and the naive minds and passions of youth. Passionate teenage love is obsessive and destructive and can contribute one to do things like murder, marriage and suicide. Erikson explains in his fifth stage that adolescents are facing the identity crisis. They will question who they are and where they are going. Contrary to usual stereotypes, teens’ thinking capabilities are mature enough for them to think about things such as life and death (Childhood and Society 1). Both of these sources explains that teens believe they are capable in handling things such as life and death. Lots of inexperienced teens view death as a relief from reality. Life is not only valuable but a gift that some teenagers do not understand. In this essay one can conclude that teenage love is major factor to the downfall of Romeo and Juliet. It takes knowledge to be wise about choices that will lead to murder marriage and suicide. that f not careful can lead to murder, marriage and suicide. After marriage, people do what they can to protect the ones they love even if murder is an act one has to commit because without them, they may have thoughts of suicide.
