12,000 low-income students in Tarrant County will receive free school supplies, health checkup among other services from the Back to School Roundup organization on August 18, 2016. Twenty different entities across the country, along with Back to School Roundup, will come together to work and help provide for economically disadvantaged students. This includes: local school districts, government agencies, social services agencies and nonprofit. The family-friendly event will host live shows, games, and a vendor expo where participants can learn about literacy, health, finances and parenting.
From the Kid’s Boardwalk to The Taylor Swift Experience, Columbus Day at the fair offers students a variety of fun entertainment. Students can also watch Nashville-based singer and songwriter Ben Rector headline the Columbus Day concert at 5:30 p.m. as a part of the Texas State Fair’s free concert lineup. Use DART’s reduced student and children’s passes to get to all the fun.
This would take place in the month of August and would be for not only students. The purpose of the event is not only to welcome everyone back to school, but to bring many different clienteles to the golf course. By hosting family friendly events, many families will want to spend time there. The plan for the event is to have activities for all ages.
Narrative Essay One day I was just at school I went to Carbon Valley Academy at the time, I remember that I was in art class with my friends Talea ,Jillian ,Anastasia ,Charlotte, and Allie. The project that we working on was our last one as being 5th graders , we were putting our hands in the color of paint that we liked and then for the school we put our handprints on a garden barrel. I got picked up from my grandmother that day and she took me to her house after school like she had done everyday ever since kindergarten. Today’s practice was two grass loops, going around the baseball fields from the Concessions building to the bleachers and back to the Concessions for more or to stop. Compared to the runs we have done out in the community, grass loops are the easiest our practice will get. Today is the race, but we still have our classes, as this is on a Wednesday, and to be precise, October 28th, 2015. We’re departing at 12:30 p.m. during fifth period, but we leave our class earlier at 12:15, only five minutes after class begins, to head to the locker room, change, and buy lunch. It is fifth period now, and fellow classmates and teammates Sebastian, Jonathan and I are anxiously waiting for the five minutes to pass.
Goal 2: Justice will prevent an out-of-home placement. • Justice showed the QP the shows he got that he will be wearing to school when he returns on next week. • Justice informed the QP he would like to have cell phone when returning to school; however, the QP shared if Justice wants a free phone he will have to go downtown and seek getting a government issued phone with his mother’s permission. • Justice acknowledged he has received 2 $25-dollar gift cards and 1 35 gift card which totals to $85 dollars and he has the potential to earn from $100 to $140 a month. • Justice reported his mother used one gift card to purchase food and the other 2 gift cards have been used ordering Chinese food and pizza which he needs to stop doing.
I had one defining experience that really showed my transition from childhood to adult hood. I had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a residential high school, the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, and the first year I had attended this school was my junior year. Going there I had known what I was required of both academically and artistically because I had already attended both of the summer intensives that they provided for my vocal performance. But my junior year is when I had experienced this change into my adult life and when I had left behind my childhood.
