George Stinney was a 14 yr old, African American who was accused of murdering two young girls, Betty June Binnicker, age 11, and Mary Emma Thames, age 7. The Stinney case occurred in Clarendon County, South Carolina in 1944. This period of time was part of the Jim Crow era, a period of serious racial discrimination in the deep South. This case has been brought to the public’s attention, and it is believed that George Stinney did not get the justice he deserved. At approximately 2143 Shift Supervisor Justin Riddle responded to a Code Red in the Central Services building. Upon arrival Riddle met with a Casper Police officer and began a floor by floor search. The problem was found on the first floor in the area commonly called the dock. The sprinkler sytem had malfunctioned and had flooded the area upon arrival. Shortly thereafter Fire Department arrived.

This morning’s press conference about the new founds dedicated to the Parks and Recreation Department, was held to answer questions about the money and whether or not it was given under false pretenses. (INTRODUCTION)Did you ever have a love one who was innocent but still served time for no reason all because he or she was in the wrong place at the wrong time or just the main suspect of a crime because he or she fit the description a witness provided. I go to a school in West Fargo and I’m a junior haven’t really seen unjust in my life to anyone I know. But read multiple articles on unjust sentence to people and wrote multiple paragraphs on the cases I read 24 to be exact. The article included lawyers view the innocent victim view and also the witness view after the trail. (Reason)people are sent to jail over speculations and evidence that don't connect to the victim of the crime.

The prosecution of George Junius Stinney Jr. evokes sadness and an utter disgust in those people who sought to coerce a child to confess to a crime with the promise of an ice cream cone. The articles and video’s raise so many questions of why this child was accused. First there is no physical evidence connecting this young boy to the girls other than him seeing them that day. Another issues that bothers me is how this child was questioned without having a lawyer or his parents present. It is important to look at the time period in which this occurred.
