Although changing the school lunch to a healthier, better option would be a good idea, you should not change the lunch from what it is now. Even though the kids would be eating healthier, most of the kids that eat lunch now would not buy the new lunch, also kids not buying the new lunch means not as much money comes into the school, and if you want kids to be healthier all you have to do is give them more time to be active. To begin with, if you changed the lunch at school a lot of the kids that eat lunch now would not eat lunch if you changed it. The new lunches would not taste as good as the lunches they serve now. Taking away some of the kids favorite foods is not a good idea.
There are reasons like, it doesn 't hold you for the rest of the day, etc. Say I eat school lunch, probably like the period after, I 'd get hungry yet again because not only do they limit the lunch food, but it 's not enough for most of our appetites.” Most kids do not eat school lunch because of that fact that it is tasteless and not beneficial. Students should be able to leave school during lunch to get away from smelly
Americans did not care about what was being served to their children at school. Every social media site people have compared our school lunches to other countries. The first lady Michelle Obama had made some changes to what was being served at lunch. I intend to prove that if we do not start paying attending to what are children are
To start off, what if I asked if you have ever felt that your school provided lunch wasn’t all that great? If I had asked a student, chances are they’d say that they don’t eat their school lunch by choice. But we’re just seventh graders that don’t know a lot of what really goes on when it comes to our lunches, so I intend to show you some research that I found from credible sources that proves that school lunches need to change. First off, let me give you the gist of what it says on an infographic about school food vs prison food where both would probably be fairly unappetizing for the person that was eating. The prison food tray has 3-4 ounces of meat, one beverage, one serving of fruit or dessert.
As I walked into the cafeteria, I caught a whiff of the food being prepared in the cafeteria and thought to myself, “Why can’t we go off-campus to get lunch?” While SLA, the lunch program at Catholic High, provides the school lunches, there could be an alternative solution to this. Unfortunately, students are detained at school during lunch hours and are not able to leave campus during lunch forcing them to be served by SLA or bring their own lunch. If Catholic High School were to introduce an open-campus lunch, students and faculty would benefit greatly. While SLA does provide the lunch at CHS, they do not live up to their standard of “high quality, nutritious, and cost efficient”.
Schools vending machines sell sweetened things as well they're never going to be healthy nothing in this world will be healthy unless they start selling fruits and vegetables. Instead on focusing on what students eat and what they shouldn’t eat they should be offering students a health class and teaching them a healthy lifestyle. The schools should offer more sport teams and not only one season of that sport but 2 spring and fall. Removing candy and soda doesn't make things any better because people like the forbidden and banning soda and candy makes student just want it more. To conclude, in the article “Should Candy and Soda be banned from Schools?”

Children in our schools are going hungry and we do not know it. Hunger affects learning abilities because it slows cerebral function causing difficulty in concentration and academic tasks. Most food assistance programs only provide help to low-income families, but food insecurity extends into the working class as well. Providing training on signs of hunger can help school personnel mitigate this issue early. The discussion and implementation of federal and community food assistance partnerships will also help reduce the hunger issue in schools.
As a child, Malala enjoyed learning and reading outside. Her father Ziauddin owned an all girls school in which Malala attended. This school supported the family and supplied them with money to purchase general needs. Malala lived a normal life until 2007. Child Hunger “When the AD council convened focus groups not long ago to help prepare a series of public service announcements on child hunger” In the essay “School’s Out for Summer” Anna Quindlen informs us about child hunger in America because, in America people do not believe this happens in our own country but it does. In this essay, Anna Quindlen, used many examples and scenarios to persuade the reader that, in America, child hunger does exist. Some of the first things Anna talks about in this essay is how during the school year kids will always be about to get a lunch and some even a breakfast because, this is what the school provides for the children. And only 3 million kids are getting a summer lunch program.

Government Lunches: A Foundation Crumbled "You aren't you when you're hungry. " The slogan of the popular Snickers bar has captured the reason school lunches were created, because without proper nutrition, the distraction of hunger can be an obstacle to focused learning. School lunches have been a controversial topic ever since its inception during World War II, when "many young men had been rejected from the draft due to medical conditions caused by childhood malnutrition" ("The History of the School Lunch Program"). Over the years, the program has undergone many bills and amendments, expanding on the original foundation laid by President Truman. Many would argue that most of these changes have been positive and have lead to dramatic health improvements in children.
