My clients, the townspeople, are innocent and the plaintiff, Adela Strangeworth, is being counter sued for emotional distress and slander. Ladies and gentleman of the jury, Adela Strangeworth manipulated the townspeople into losing relationships, ruining other's reputations , and so much more. Miss. Strangeworth is obsessed with the apparent evil that lurks in us all, and will manipulate everyone she can in order to make us what she sees as perfect, even if you haven't done anything wrong. For example, Linda Stewart and Dave Harris were both deeply affected by Miss. Strangeworth's letters. Miss. Strangeworth had written a letter full of false accusations regarding Dave Harris' intentions with Linda Stewart. Another example is about Don Crane, his wife, and their daughter; Miss. Strangeworth wrote in on of her letters: "Didn't you ever see an idiot child before? Some people just shouldn't have children, shouldn't they?" Obviously this would cause Don and Helen Crane to have emotional distress, after all, Miss. Strangeworth insulted their daughter who isn't even six months old. …show more content…

This compares to how Miss. Strangeworth believes forcefully changing people so they won't have the capability of evil and the townspeople just want to live their lives without Miss. Strangeworth's unnecessary forced changes in their lives. In the end of 'The Most Dangerous Game' Rainsford kills Zaroff so Zaroff will no longer be able to hunt humans. And in this situation, someone out of the townspeople destroyed something that Miss. Strangeworth loved so Miss. Strangeworth would stop destroying people's lives. Miss. Strangeworth's roses could have been destroyed by one individual or by the entire town, there is no way to know. Do you want to punish an entire town for what could have been done by one
