The liquid also has bubbles throughout. The photograph is printed in a large scale at 60-by-40-inch and a Cibachrome print. For example comfort could be an impression that people get because people are comfortable with the idea of Crucifix and all that represents. Sothe photograph leaves people with a bunch of different questions. This photograph as
• Jesus is an unavoidable and deeply mysterious figure. We do not know as much about Him as we would like to know. This can make it difficult to grasp what Jesus was about. People found him confusing in His own day and the same is true today. • One major reason we have trouble understanding Jesus is that His world is strange and, to many Westerners, foreign.
It gives the viewer first hand knowledge into what it feels like to be surrounded by such horrific and agonising circumstances, such as those in World War I. It uses monochrome colour to represent death and fear, also the use of varied tone highlighted different areas which symbolise hope and a life beyond war, as well as strong shadows which were used to give a negative effect and symbolise the inhumanity behind war. The plate also relates back to cultural histories with ideas representing the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and an abstracted idea of what the soldiers in World War I went
Russell Drysdale’s ‘The Crucifixion’ is closely related to his drought paintings collection, however there is a strong sense of unique religious perspective conveyed through this piece. The colour palette of deep reds and browns is used similar to his other works that depict the harshness and brutality of the Australian landscape. By implementing the idea of religion into this work, Drysdale has created a new meaning for the outback that describes the impact of white settlement on the environment. During the Second World War, he attempted to illustrate the horrors of warfare to evoke emotion and a sense of empathy in other Australian artists through the painting The Crucifixion. In this work Drysdale combined symbolism with the imagery of
The bandage on the child’s head is a lot more white and bright than the rest of the whites in the photo which you to look at it. It suggest that the innocence in the child might be gone. Cecil Beaton used black and white with very little greys in the photo, which contrasts from the majority of his other photos which are mostly different shades of grey. He also uses many rectangles that create an optical illusion that the photo goes on forever and ever. In addition to how the subject of the photo is positioned, it makes the subject seem like they are all powerful or they are strict about everything.
The colors in the photo are cool tones and are triadic colors from each other, giving the photograph a calming feel to the viewer’s emotions. The general aspect of the curved lines on the Buddha face and clothes also makes the photograph easy to view for the viewer
A person can assume the message being communicated by the black robe spilling over into the lap and between the legs of the man. Nevertheless, in the fifteenth century a person would need to be careful what they are going to assume. Overhead winged angels carry the virgin’s soul to God. God is reaching out to Mary and similar to Adam reaching for God in Michelangelo’s fresco The Creation of Adam painted almost forty years later. The apostle in the white robe carrying holy water to the virgin signifies he is an important person in the scene in relation to the virgin.

The chosen image holds no statistics and no use of words. This image forces the audience to make their own accusations as to what they believe that this image could mean. Anywhere from just two handfuls of dirt to seeing the image as a pile of dry, crusty soil and another handful of soft, fine, moisturized soil. Depending on the audience’s background would determine how they view this picture.
Aylin Reta 88729977 ARTH 1306 Christ with the Symbols of the Passion Christ with the Symbols of the Passion is a work by Italian painter Lavinia Fontana, its medium is oil on panel and it was executed on 1576. In this piece we see, what seems to be, Christ after he was brought down from the cross. He is sitting at the center of the piece with multiple angels besides him. The color palette seems dark and obscure as well as the overall mood of the piece. He is surrounded by symbols that are significant to the process of His crucifixion such as the cross, the crown of thorns, a whip, and is also surrounded by three angels.
The symbols conveys the theme that people need to repent for their sins so that they can
The top portion shows Jesus be crucified along with who I believe are the two these the gospels mention Jesus be crucified with. The top portion of the panel doesn 't show much detail in the background. This brings the attention forward to Jesus and then the two thieves. Jesus is the only one that facing the viewer straight forward everyone else is turned away at an angle. The bottom shows two clusters of people.
In Viramontes’ novel Under the Feet of Jesus, the author composes symbolic representations about the daily life of a migrant worker. Symbols used throughout the novel was the barn as a figure to represent a church, Petra’s statue of Jesus that symbolized her faith in Christianity and the baby doll with no mouth that represented the views on silence. The author uses symbolism to get her message across on how the difficulties of migrant workers. The symbols, the barn, Jesus statue, and the baby with no mouth represent the migrant workers’ stance on faith.
There was a focus point which is Saint Francis. Although the painting mainly consist of black and tan colors, the slight bright colors to balance of the black. This help bring out the details, such as the blessing on hands and the kneeling of people. Yet, the details were not too big that it would be too much to handle. This helps get the message across to the audience, like myself.
The second artists by the name of Andres Serrano called Piss Christ, had made me feel angry towards the artist because of the way that the artwork was displayed in. Finding out that Andres Serrano peed inside of a container and put a statue of Jesus Christ inside of the pee and took a picture of it, made people send death threats. Personally I wanted to find him and punch him in his throat because I found that to be so disrespectful. But later on finding out the reason as to why he did it made me change my decision about punching him in his throat. Piss Christ is about Jesus followers; not Jesus.
Although Mary’s hand and body itself take up an odd amount of room they help objects such as baby Jesus stand in the painting as well. This painting has a certain movement it creates the gesture of a baby pulling his mother closer to him has he lays his cheek on his mother. The shape used is that of a circular motion. Dieric Bouts create a sense of harmony and wholeness using the same color, skin tone between Mary and Jesus create harmony. You can tell the contrast between the two people Mary symbolizes royalty being the mother of Jesus which, is why she wears blue.
