While looking at our district’s internal postings, I learned of the open teaching positions at White Bear Lake Area Schools. These positions are of great interest to me because White Bear Lake Area Schools has earned a positive reputation for student achievement and community involvement. Our mission to ensure students develop a love for learning, excel academically, are inspired to realize their dreams, and become engaged citizens with a global understanding by challenging each student with a dynamic, respectful, and inclusive environment that nurtures the unique talents and abilities of every student is something I firmly agree with. As a member of the kindergarten teaching team at Otter Lake Elementary, I am able to establish a positive and personal relationship with each student in order to provide the emotional and social support necessary for learning. My goal for this support is to help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. I believe that my education and experience would …show more content…
As a kindergarten teacher at Otter Lake Elementary (WBLAS) and first grade teacher at S.G. Reinertsen Elementary (Moorhead Public Schools), I have learned the importance of establishing a sense of community and belonging in the classroom. By providing a stimulating learning environment that fosters confidence and encourages each child to reach their fullest potential, I aim to meet the specific needs of each student. I firmly believe that every child is entitled to an education environment that enables them to learn and grow both academically and personally. By motivating my students to have confidence in their strengths and abilities, I hope to inspire them to become dedicated, lifelong learners. With only seven hours each day to make a difference in students’ lives, I strive to effectively utilize our time together to ensure they receive a valuable
Khristy Hernandez 1AB Mrs.Carroll Place: Seabourn Elementary School, 1st graders Time: 4 hours and 14 minutes The point for this observation was to ask my mentor ‘ What has been the biggest challenge for her in relation to providing accommodations?’ And ‘ How she overcame that challenge?’ Her biggest challenge in relation to providing accommodations is the fact that you need to customize each kid's needs, like homeschooling, free lunch, and getting teachers to take out kids out of class for 15 minutes just to help them get better at reading or anything else.

Every day we develop better lesson plans, assessments and behavior plans and stronger instructional practices, we are helping to build a better world. Every day we take extra time to unlock the key to success for a student with our continuous improvement plans, our safe rides on our school busses, fixing an air conditioner, coach teachers and leaders and hiring the best and brightest, we are building a better world. We will celebrate our ten schools receiving an A or B letter grade. We had seven schools receive a C and three schools in the D range. We can discuss how some of our schools struggled to find highly effective teachers in certain areas or how some of our schools did not show the needed grow because they didn’t have a strong enough focus on standards based instruction.
I like to be involved in schools because I value education, especially since I am a first-generation student, which is why I am interested in this position because I have a passion in helping students become successful and motivate them to go far in what they desire. Throughout my education experience, I’ve noticed that students who struggled more in academics tended not to care and teachers would be frustrated. I noticed that these students needed more of a support system and motivation. I decided to help these students by volunteering at schools. For example, I volunteer at Image elementary and a program called La Plaza.
While many people think a great teacher makes the biggest difference in a student’s life, the learning environment is of equal importance to a child’s development. That’s why Palm Academy has focused on offering a learning center that encourages students to thrive. With locations in Fremont and Newark, CA, Palm Academy offers enrichment programs, test prep, early childhood education, and tutoring for students. Here are three reasons why learning centers are exceptional education environments: Individual Attention: Learning centers keep the ratio of teacher to student low, which allows each child to obtain plenty of individual support and attention. The instructors at Palm Academy are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential

The overall goal is for all students to be taken care of while in the classroom and to gain the knowledge that they need in order to be successful in life. My goal is to become a teacher and I will continue to work for the goal that my ancestors created many years ago. Every student deserves to be able to walk out of the classroom having learned how to become a responsible citizen that can change the world. In early Arkansas education, teachers taught in small one-room schoolhouses, instructed many age groups of kids, worked in unideal conditions, and taught all of the basics in the “Three R’s”. All of these challenges were to make sure that their students had an education.
This job really taught me about the importance of children having a routine to follow as well as the impact teachers can have on a child’s life. After my first year in college, I realized that I wanted to gain more experience with children of all ages. Shortly after,
A teacher “presents the past, reveals the present, and creates the future”. As an educator, doing so is my passion. As I noticed in your mission statement “Learning today, leading tomorrow”, these are values that are important to your district as well. My special education background has helped me learn how to work with a variety of individuals, and I feel that it is reflected in my teaching. I work hard to help students realize their full potential through building rapport and focusing on the many strengths that students possess.
Teachers and students have an obligation to promote equality, justice and respect for others. If we want kids to become globally competitive and lifelong learners, we need teachers who create learning environments which encourage this to happen. For the first quarter of a century of our lives, our main “job” is learning. The bulk of our time is spent in classrooms acquiring new knowledge.
I am interested in the assistant director position at Pine Springs Preparatory Academy. My 15 years experience as a public school educator has provided me with the experience that serve me well in this position. I am excited at the prospect of being part of a school that introduces students to the authentic learning process, fosters good character and embraces the community. As an educator, I want all my students to be successful academically and as citizens. It is important for students to know that I care about their education and genuinely want them to succeed.
It is also easy to be pessimistic about children and schools. I prefer to be optimistic. I learn from my failures and I let the children learn from theirs. That is how this book evolved - from my failures and from watching the anguish of my colleagues. I found that many could not establish nor maintain a consistent and effective learning climate.
My desire to teach originates from my own personal academic experience. At a young age, I was inspired by my teachers to learn as much as I can, and to use that knowledge to pursue my dreams. Similarly, I would like to ignite children’s desire to learn and encourage them to pursue their own dreams. The teachers who had the most positive impact on my academic and personal life were approachable, natural nurturers, passionate about teaching, and had a genuine interest in the lives of their students. These qualities I myself hope to develop as I pursue my dream in becoming an elementary teacher.
