There are many sensitive polarized viewpoints regarding the abortion debate. According to “How an Anonymous Spy with a Video Camera Infiltrated Planned Parenthood and Reignited the Abortion Debate” written by Alex Altman, David Daleiden had an interest in the abortion debate from a young age. In junior high Daleiden joined his first anti-abortion group, then continued his interest throughout college. He also formed his own anti-abortion group Live Action, which is known for secretly videotaping Planned Parenthood breaking the law. Daleiden stated, “It exposes the truth in a way that doesn’t rely on media outlets to report it.” Daleiden went to great lengths to pose as a fetal-tissue-procurement executive to sneak into Planned Parenthood to
“Fetal Tissue Fallout, R. Alta Charo, J.D., September 3, 2015” In this article R. Alta Charo states that we have a right to use fetal tissue for research and therapy (Fetal Tissue, 1) The article goes into how a lot of people find this to be a moral issue and a matter of the conscience and explains how the antiabortion activist that don’t agree with the research are actually benefitting from the fetal tissue. They argue that the research supports abortions but have taken part in receiving vaccines and therapy that comes from the research. R. Alta Charo begins by talking about the argument over the antiabortionist activist who pretended to be a research company representative and gave out false, edited information from a Planned Parenthood video that goes over the services they provide.
Planned Parenthood believes the videos were edited to go against their abortion program, and denies any sort of payment from the fetal tissues sold. If payments were received to the organization, it was done legally for reimbursement of costs. The organization is in the process of more policies to advance attacks against Planned Parenthood. The videos were shown on the internet, television, and Republicans responded and took control of the issues.
(Crisco, 2013) Planned Parenthood communicated the situation to their public, by email and social media. The non-profit sent an email to supporters about the funding cut from Komen and asked for funds to replace the money Komen covered for breast cancer screenings. Within hours, Komen’s choice to defund Planned Parenthood was trending on social media sites Twitter and Facebook. People we’re outraged at Komen’s decision, which appeared politically motivated. Debates on pro-choice vs. pro-life, and boycotts of the cancer association roared on social platforms.
Something that had the media go crazy in Texas is that the federal court is upholding the texas law that is putting mostly all of the state 's abortion clinics at risk of shutting down. In July 1st most of the clinics needed to be shut down and the nearest abortion provider is miles away. Some interest group taking having an opinion in the idea of abortion is the “anti-abortion group they had targeted key congressional races across the country and provided financial support for Republican presidential candidates. political spending from anti-abortion groups has increased markedly since the 2008 cycle” (OpenSecrets 1). There was also a bill passed to further “restrict the use of federal funds in abortion procedures” (OpenSecrets 1).
This year in mid-July a video was released by an anti-abortion activist group that calls themselves the Center of Medical Progress. An activist of this group acted as a representative from a biomedical firm discussing a ‘purchase’ of fetal tissue with a Planned Parenthood employee. The past few months Cecile Richards has been making press conferences, meeting with politicians, addressing the circumstance, and defending Planned Parenthood. Prior to the video Planned Parenthood’s patients who undergo abortions have the option to donate fetal tissues for research. Those tissues were then sent to biomedical firms and in return Planned Parenthood would receive a compensation to cover the cost of the program.
During the early 1800’s each state had the right to choose if abortion was legal or illegal. Most states made abortion illegal. Then In 1873 the Comstock Laws, created by Anthony Comstock, were passed. The Comstock Laws made it illegal to sell or distribute material that could be used as a contraceptive or abortion. The Comstock Laws were in place until The Roe v. Wade case of 1973.
This news story is about a young woman that decided to create a twitter hash tag that is called “Shout Your Abortion”. The purpose of this hash tag was for women to speak out about their abortions because of the pandemonium with Planned Parenthood clinic right now, which is stated in the article that “Congress investigates Planned Parenthood and debates cutting off its funding because of undercover videos showing officials of the group’s discussing providing fetal tissue for research” (Lewin). Not many women speak out about their abortions because some people associate it with murder. It’s thought that if more women that have had abortions speak out it may shine a different light on the negativity abortion is made out to be so funding for Planned Parenthood won’t stop and abortion will stay legal.
In the case of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that multiple U.S. amendments give Americans the right to privacy. Although the case ruled abortion a right for women, many states still implement rules and regulations that make a professionally administered abortion very hard, if not nearly impossible to obtain (Abortion). I believe that abortion should be legalized and made readily available all over the world. The easy availability of professional abortions reduces the rate of maternal death (Abortion).
Planned Parenthood has remained a controversial topic in government and in households throughout America. There are split views on whether it should be funded by government or not, not to mention the underlying moral dilemma when it comes to abortions. In essence, Planned Parenthood was funded $500,000 in 2014. Though they are not prohibited to use federal funding on abortions, but Planned Parenthood conducts around 300,000 abortions a year using other funding. Recently, an anti-abortion group conducted an undercover interview and discovered that Planned Parenthood uses fetal tissue for scientific research, which is against the law.
Rough Draft As human beings, it is forbidden to kill or murder people. Why should killing an innocent new soul be okay or outright legal? Every legal surgical abortion stops a beating heart and terminates a life. Killing a fetus that has a soul ready to live is morally wrong!
In this report, I will outline different events that happened and why they are conservative, as well as whom was involved in these displays of conservatism. Abortion was a hot topic in the 1980’s, as it still is today. The main contenders I have found to be involved are liberal and conservative politicians. Liberal believers call themselves pro-abortion, or more commonly, pro-choice. They represent the view point that women should have the right to choose whether or not to undergo an abortion during their pregnancy.

Abortion is just a technical way of saying the murder of a unborn and should be abolished. Abortion is murder. According to lifenews.com, federal law prohibits the death penalty for a pregnant women until after the child is born. (18 U.S.C.A.S.3596). Doing this means according to the law, a innocent unborn infant cannot be sentenced to death for a crime he/she did not commit.
“Abortion -should it be a right of every woman in the present context- A critical analysis” 1. Introduction I elected to present my dissertation on a topic based on ‘abortion’ since it is a hidden social menace in our society. It is like an iceberg. The tip represents the reported abortions, which everyone sees.
