Executive Summary

Steam tables for water and other elements or compounds are generated by experimental values. Use of experimental values gives the edge of being exact. The values calculated using general gas equation or compressibility chart may include error. These tables are used for solving problems involving specific properties like specific volume, specific internal energy, specific enthalpy etc. Super heated steam table values are already available in proper tabulated form.

Such tables are required for working with steam, in industries, thermodynamics problems and many more. In some places it is impossible to physically measure the pressure, temperature or other specific properties of steam using meters and other devices. In such cases, steam tables are used to predict the values. Using the same steam tables, Energy exchanged and many heat, energy related problems can be solved. 2 Rationale
Computerized steam tables are an effective way to deal with problems of thermodynamics. They save time and also exclude to most extent, the error that could occur while looking up a detailed tabled. It is also easier to search using a C++ program.
Steam tables for water are available in three states. Each of these states have their respective tables. The states are Compressed Liquid, Saturated Liquid and Superheated Steam or vapours. The particular C++ program code comprises of table values of Superheated Steam state.
