This statement is nor paradoxical but at the same time not true. But one's thought can possibly overlook this situation and might have believed everything as original and true. However, every religious book reaches a stage where it describes enlightenment. An enlightenment has become a hype in today's world. And this is only because of our pre-built thoughts about the world and the cosmos. An enlightenment is not a stage where a person land's directly into a heaven, it is not about becoming a genius. An enlightenment is an advanced stage of becoming self-aware, about who he/she is? what he/she is doing? why he/she is doing it? The reason behind his/her belief for believing the existence. The word enlightenment has lead many disbelief and wrong conceptions, however, there is no fault in the word but all it's our pre-built thoughts. When someone grows enlightened, they utilize their newfound comprehension and knowledge to unshackle themselves from their lifelong ignorance to pursue a superior understanding of the world around them. This lengthy process often times entails detrimental consequences. It can be a traumatizing experience to disband yourself from a way of thinking that has been deeply ingrained into your psyche. Plato’s Allegory of the Cave showcases how enlightenment and education go hand in hand. His analogy connects directly to the struggles detailed in Frederick Douglass’s essay, Learning to Read and Gwendolyn Brooks poem,
En·light·en·ment noun 1. the action of enlightening or the state of being enlightened. 2. the Enlightenment, a philosophical movement of the 18th century, characterized by belief in the power of human reason and by innovations in political, religious, and educational doctrine.
Enlightenment is usually achieved through the hardest times in our lives, times where we struggle the most. Whether these struggles be emotionally like in Little Miss Sunshine where the family deals with hardships such as trying to join to together despite all of the curveballs thrown in by life. Also they can be physically as in Snowpiecer where the struggles is trying to fight their way to a better life despite the death toll and misery. Through these journeys they become enlightened in their respective lives of how life is and how to survive. Have you ever wondered why life was created and what your purpose is? Well, you probably have, you just don’t remember it. We ask ourselves a variety of questions every day. It might be a simple or hard question you are facing throughout the day, but the answer is the main thing you need to remember. The meaning of life is more than just a simple question like the others we ask ourselves.
The Brahman is unsatisfied in his knowledge and although however hard he seeks, cannot find the enlightenment he desires. Additionally, the Brahman is perplexed in how a simpleton woman who does not seek truth or knowledge, rather relies on religious doctrine, is perfectly happy in her ignorance of things. The Brahman goes on to explain to Voltaire that even though he could simply be happy by not acquiring and striving for enlightenment, he does not wish this (Voltaire, . , Woolf, n.d.). Voltaire proposes this question to other Philosopher's and each reach the same understanding that once you enter into the world of reason, there appears no end in sight, but however that this struggle is still better than being blissfully

Enlightenment itself is a concept that cultures around the world believe in and how people can master this concept. Enlightenment is an elevated understanding of life and learning how one may remove any negativity from their life. Societies view enlightenment as important because it helps people understand any and all forms of negativity never promote happiness and prosperity. One piece of literature that vividly shows this concept is Plato’s, “Allegory of the Cave.” Plato highlights how Socrates converses with Glaucon about how the man who reaches the light at the end of the cave would be free from negativity; the man discovers the truth which leads him to enlightenment.
“We Are All Confident Idiots” by David Dunning presents a phenomenon that people often fail to recognize their own ignorance. The article was recently published on the website of Pacific Standard, and it intends to reach a wide range of readers, among them, American youth and teachers are probably the main target audience. Living in a time surrouds by expedient aceess to knowledge, people however are not any wiser. Dunning sharply points out the great extent of confidence that different people show in their unfamiliar areas, and he uses statistics and various research results from his own and others to support his arguments. The article has a subtle structure, starting with reality show, expanding on the arguments with three main types of ignorance, gradually outlining the severity of not recognizaing ignorance, and finally, effectively leading to a convincing conclusion.
Education is gained and developed by one's life and values. Education is more than just reading textbooks, going to class, and repeating that cycle. Education is life and knowledge. People can gain education through experiences in the real world. Tara Westover, the author of the book Educated, recounts her life's journey from childhood to the present, in doing so she reinforces the theme that education is the key to change.
This quote directly represents how I feel educating is important to one's self-improvement and the improvement of the work around them. It is crucial for a person to always keep learning, its what develops the brain, helps to form our character and it is a privilege that not all people are able to get. it is when we stop learning and educating ourselves out body becomes a useless vessel. But education can't help build a better future without action, one of my personal goals is to help people, inspire them and make their lives better. I was lucky enough to have a chance of getting an education, having food on my plate and a roof over my head in order for me to become who I am today.
The final meaning of life according to Hinduism is Moksha or enlightenment. Moksha is the most difficult meaning of life to achieve, and rarely it may only take an individual just one lifetime to accomplish but it usually takes several. Although it is one of the most difficult to achieve, it is considered the most important meaning of life and offers many rewards such as liberation from reincarnation, self-realization, enlightenment, or unity with God. (Sivakumar, 2014,
That is our choice the way we live our temporary life and the way we make it meaningful for ourselves What is the meaning of life? Why we exist here? What are we living for? These questions are asked, discussed and argued by many philosophers around the world to look for a significance of people’s living or existence in general.
What matters, therefore, is not the meaning of life in general but rather the specific meaning of a person’s life at a given moment” (Frankl, p. 108). The meaning of life, when used as a general term, has a broad definition because of its ever-changing nature. However, the true definition of the meaning of life is supposed to be established on an individual basis. It’s the events going on in your personal life at that moment in time that defines what meaning is. “To put the question in general terms would be comparable to the question posed to a chess champion: ‘Tell me, Master, what is the best move in the world?’”
Man first exists without a purpose or definition, finds himself in the world and only then, as a reaction to the experience, defines the meaning of life.”. It means at first, man exists, turns up, appears on the scene, and only afterward define himself. We can only define ourselves after we faced a series of challenges. At first, we are nothing but as life goes on, we become something. It is easy to be alive indeed, but living a life is not as easy as that.
I believe people over think this question too much, I mean I get it, the question itself is vague and arises other questions. Even the word "meaning ", makes you think. But if we mean "the purpose of life. Then to me it 's not complex at all.
