I know taking a four-year degree in Nursing will be a long way to tread, but with patience I can become successful. With determination, I can do my best to prove to myself, to my family, that I will be a successful nurse after four years. I will work hard and focus on my studies now that I am still in high school. I will keep surrounding myself with positive influences. Eventually, I will share my knowledge to people who also want to become nurse in order to achieve their goals, too.
As several of the individuals who decide to develop a career in the healthcare field, my desire of becoming a nurse comes from past experiences which have made me appreciate the field and its merits. Being raised in a single parent household gave me the responsibility and effectiveness of dealing with difficult situations. Qualifications that are expected to be acquired as nurse and I hope to attain much more as a student of the College of Nursing’s Program. For instance, one of my career goals is to obtain core abilities required for a Master’s of Science Degree in Nurse Anesthesia, the second is to dedicate myself to lifelong learning, and the third is to contribute back to the community. Becoming a Certified Nurse Anesthetist has always been of my interest in the wild range of specializations available for a nurse.
Growing up I have always been driven to become involved in the medical field, therefore I am interested in becoming a nurse practitioner. I study hard and devote my free time to learn more at school. I am determined to continue to succeed and make sacrifices to achieve my desired goals. My strong internal motivation comes from my parents who support me. As a high school student, I am preparing to choose a college to attend and a career to pursue.
In that, I hope to follow the health sciences career pathway to begin specializing towards a career in anesthesiology. Basically, what anesthesiologists do is administer pain-relief medications and anesthesia to a patient undergoing a surgical procedure; they also monitor a patient’s vital functions throughout surgery. The academic requirements to become an anesthesiologist are a bachelor’s degree, four years of medical school, and around four years of residency. I will also have to pass the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination, as well as certification exams from the American Board of Anesthesiology. In college, my plan is to get my bachelor of science by majoring in human biology and minoring in chemistry or psychology.
I am a soon to be graduate, and I’m passionate about the path that I have chosen for my education and career. I have chosen to pursue a career in nursing because I’m interested in the medical field and its ever-changing nature. I am confident that I will be successful in this career because I believe nursing is in my blood, as my mother and grandma are both nurses. I thrive on challenges and have excellent time management skills, which are characteristics that I will depend on in order to be successful in college and beyond.

In many cases, having to work while attending college usually leads to failing or dropping the class due to extra stress and the idea of income.
