Susan B. Anthony felt that “ everyone deserved to have equal rights racially, within gender, and even educational equality” (Salam). Anthony played a tremendous role in the Women's Activist Movement, which meant that she devoted her life to working on getting women the right to vote and feel equal. Anthony began her journey to get the 19th amendment ratified in 1852. Anthony organized rallies to help get her point across that everyone should be treated the same. Susan B. Anthony was a woman who set the pathway for women’s rights activist and for a big change in society and around the world even to this day. Susan B. Anthony’s early life set a path for her to change the way the world viewed all women. Anthony grew up to two parents that influenced her greatly in becoming a women’s activist. Susan B. Anthony aimed to make all women equal members of society along with men. Anthony began her journey by petitioning for the right for all women to vote. She gained many followers that helped her to try and accomplish her goal in the world. Tons of people started talking about her courage and how persistent she was with the Women’s Suffrage Act. Many years later she was put on a coin for being so active in society and with politics. The coin was made in 1981 and still to this day there are a few coins floating around that would be worth about 20 dollars today. Anthony never got to see her face on the coin or know that all of her hard work paid off in the end but she would be smiling if she could see.
