This book goes in to the life of police sketch artist; Nate Rodrigues, through this novel we learn about the conflicts that Rodriquez has with himself and other people that hold him back. During the duration Nate comes head to head with criminal that leave specials treats at the murder scene. After Nate’s father passed; Juan Rodriguez; Nate went into an introversive state. He did not go out on field jobs; he just stayed in his office in till he was needed. In the beginning of the book, Nate means a girl named Laurie. She is dealing with describing her attacker, with the help of Nate; she was able to get through this process. There have been crimes throughout the city; it made Terri Russo wanting a big part in the investigation. This criminal draws his victim’s lifeless body after they have been murdered. As Terri Russo and chief department; Perry Denton, didn’t know what to do next the sought out Nate Rodriguez for help. Nate teaches them about different artist and how this artist may draw. As every policemen and FBI agents on the task force got more and more anxious the got, while Russo, Denton and Rodriguez worked on the case. As Rodriguez goes off a hunch, that if he meets with the widow for the latest murder he would find out more. He had her describe the man while he drew him: even if he was faceless. Even after visiting the widow, Rodriguez continued to sketch out the mysterious man. While he was drawing he felt t like he was being watched. The faceless man knew that the department was getting closer to arresting him, so he was trying his hardest toe frame Rodriguez for a murder; he tried to frame him by placing one of Nate’s sketching pencil, near the crime scene. After he finished drawing the faceless man, the department put a name to the face, Tim wright. Wright was upset with the fact that everybody knew who he was, so he sought out for revenge.
