Whatever the development process that takes place in the country, that should help the people in long run.
Without the good development process country will face problems in the long run. As considered by the world leaders, even the Bhutan has sustainable development as one of the pillars of the Gross National Happiness. So this indicates that development should be there in a sustainable way.
Even governments have taken many majors and capabilities to provide the good information of sustainable development. Like wise we use to take care of the agriculture in the past, today policies and more interest were given on the tourism sector.
Sustainable development as mentioned before, whatever the development or the activities we carry out for the future process, it should benefits the present generation and help to upcomming society in long run. The development process should not collapse after certain period of time and also the plan should not fail after few years. The next points I would like to mentioned about the benefiting to country or a regions. The first thing that benefits is the revenue which generates from the tourist
They also helps to many organizations and many departments, to clubs, and individuals also which is also leading to the sustainable living Tourism is a highly labor intensive, relatively low skill industry, which has huge potential for the generation of employment. Although no reliable data are available to substantiate the
Arguments, the international trends shows that on an average,3.5 additional tourist results in one additional direct job in tourist industry and 1.25 indirect job related industries. The tourism industry is the highest foreign exchange earner for Bhutan and one of the largest employers after civil service. In 2004, more than 9000 tourist visited the country, which generated a revenue of us$12.45 million. (This is according to the geography supplementary text for class XII p.44)
Unplanned and unrestricted growth of tourism has detrimental effects in the environment.
On the conrtary, tourism also drags down the economy. With how many tourists there are in our envirronment it is almost too much to count. As well as too many people, Tourists do not always pick up after themselves which could lead to problems in the economy. Though the major point to this is, humans are paying for these tourists sites for them to have a “Great Time!” When really it is just for a day, and money was spent on the spot for

He was the only child of Upton Sinclair Sr. and Priscilla Sinclair. Throughout his life he was a devout Christian. Keep in mind that there will be obstacles and it will take time to get citizens approval for the project even if it is constructive such as nature conservation or greenhouse gas emissions. It is our responsibility to protect and preserve our natural resources and lands for future generations to enjoy. If we neglect our duties, then our future generation will face catastrophic consequences and it is beyond imagination. Since land is damaged it will take considerable time and effort and resources to fix it. We can’t live without nature, and we must survive with nature and conserve the land requires tremendous hard work and dedication.

Tourism is also having a major impact on the environment. Waste and sewage from resorts, hotels, and restaurants, especially in heavily visited coastal areas, could find their
Generativity versus stagnation is the seventh stage of Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development. This stage takes place during middle adulthood between the ages of approximately 40 and 65. During this time, adults strive to create or nurture things that will outlast them; often by parenting children or contributing to positive changes that benefit other people. Contributing to society and doing things to benefit future generations are important needs at the generativity versus stagnation stage of development.
• The expected life of property might shift the burden to later stages as the life of the project increases. • A very important aspect of sustainability is the ‘closed loop’ system. Sustainable construction practices may warrant that materials and land may be reused or made useful for other purposes at the end of a project’s life. As this is a consequence that cannot be predicted at the moment of commissioning a building, the whole chain of the construction industry has to adopt sustainability
I agree with the assertion that in the context of Sustainable Development ‘the reality of life today is that the economy dominates environment and society. The Concept of Sustainable Development Sustainable development refers to “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs”, and was produced by the Brundtland report (WCED, 1987). The concept also takes into account the needs of the poor in developing countries by outlining achievable objectives of importance (WCED, 1987).
Sustainability and Responsibility imply that tourism resources and attractions should be utilised in such a way that their subsequent use by future generations is not compromised, according to UNWTO. Basically, Tourism could be defined as people travelling to a destination for recreation, leisure or business outside the place of residency. Travels can be to destinations that are international or domestic. If residents travel only within their country is considered domestic tourism.

Sustainable development is a model that aims to link the idea of what is to be sustained, with what is to be developed, and focuses on three pillars, economics, social and environmental (Kates, Parris, and Leiserowitz, 2005; pp. 3). As a holistic approach it seeks to develop the three pillars, on a local, regional and global level. This paper will analyse the concept of sustainable development and the strengths and weaknesses of this approach will be discussed. Firstly, a background of this model will be presented, which will explore the three pillars. Secondly, the strengths and weaknesses will be evaluated, and lastly, a brief contrast will be provided of the opinions of sustainable development between the Global North and Global South.
Benefits of Tourism Tourism is an important activity that people has undertaken for a very long time in the most countries around the world. In recent time it has been recognized as an important social and economic phenomenon. As well as its direct effect it has indirect effects both on the society and at the individual level. . The interaction between tourists and poor communities can provide a number of intangible and practical benefits. These can range from increased awareness of cultural, environmental, and economic issues and values, on both sides, to mutual benefits from improved local investment in infrastructure.
Green growth and green economy have been subject to various definitions but those currently being used by international organizations have a lot in common. Greening growth (GG) and moving towards a greener economy (GE) is complex and multidimensional. Green growth is a matter of both economic policy and sustainable development policy. It tackles two key imperatives together: the continued inclusive economic growth needed by developing countries to reduce poverty and improve wellbeing; and improved environmental management needed to tackle resource scarcities and climate change. The concept of green economy rests on the economy, the environment and the social pillars of sustainable development.
One of the foundations of sustainable development is efficient environmental management (UNEP 2002). However, balancing the needs of current generations without compromising the environment for future generations poses to be quite problematic. A number of environmental decision-making instruments have been developed in an attempt to ensure that development is sustainable. One of the most popular of these is environmental impact assessment (EIA). This essay will be based on the strengths and limitations of an Environmental Impact Assessment.
Tourism can be considered one of the most significant economic and social phenomena of the twentieth and twenty-first century. The evolving of the tourist’s behavior has triggered a series of changes in the way of operating the tourism businesses. From traditional travel agencies, hotels and airlines up to the online tour operators. All tour operators have had to adapt to the changes of the individual as a traveler and this has led to continuous development of strategies by the agents.
